A Rollerset with just water

I got a roller set and the person didn't put in a leave in..she rolled it wet and my hair was very dry and brittle..it usually doesn't come out like that..at that time I was using Infusium leave in, but I guess she forgot.

 There were many times when i used water as a leave-in. The key is to using an acidifying shampoo, conditioner, or rinse to close the cuticle, or a moisturizing one. Rinse well, then do not towel dry your hair (a la Supergirl). Keep spritizing water on your hair (especially the ends) while rollersetting. Comes out shiny and pretty when I do it, no frizz.

This is what I did as well when I tried a rollerset with just plain water. I just used regular shampoo (Motions Neutralizing Shampoo) and lots of water. :yep:

I used to rollerset my hair with just water ALL THE TIME. I use a leave in now and a little serum. Back in the day I would wash and condition my hair and then using a spray bottle filled with water, I would rollerset my hair making sure that it remained wet. It would turn out very nicely!

If I use just water my hair will be a serious flyaway mess. My hair is very fine, and if I don't use something to kind of weigh it down, it becomes wild.

I have never tried a roller set with just water, and I wouldn't try it. My hair would probably laugh at me.

My mom does this all the time and her hair turns out so curly and bouncy! It makes me jealous when mine would come out dry and frizzy! The only time it comes out nice is when I use heat! :ohwell:

I use distilled water with a squirt (tiny amount) of NTM Leave-In Foam. No flyaways and lots of moisture.
