I'm getting bored with my braid outs..so I was thinking about wearing buns and ponytails for while..and just alternate between the two..the problem is that the hair around a hairline is thin and fine..and I'm worried about 2 spots that are notoriously thin around my temples..its a hereditary problem that my mom (who is natural with locs) also has. What can I do to protect this area? I dont want bald spots and I'm afraid if I wear too many buns or ponytails, that is what will happen..I envy u ladies that can wear bun as a protective style for weeks @ a time. Also, I dont use brushes cause they take my hair out...Thanks ladies..

I suggest not making your buns tight or making a braid or twist or hump at the front with the bun in the back (or side) so you don't have any pulling on the tender front bits.
