A perm JUST for baby hair?

I heard on the radio that there is a perm just for "baby hair". Is anyone familiar with this product? If so, could you let me know the name and where I might be able to purchase it? Thanks.

Like literally for toddlers/small children. Or are they meaning virgin/never relaxed hair? I have never heard of such a thing.

I AM talking about the edges. Thanks for getting what I mean. I dont even have any kids.

It's for the edges b/c that is where people usually burn the fastest. This perm is not supposed to burn though.

I haven't heard of this product, but I doubt that it is any different than a regular relaxer. Kind of like how they tried to market those "newgrowth only" relaxers. All relaxers are "newgrowth only" unless you're doing a virgin relaxer. They just gave you less product and put it in a different box. The best way to protect the edges from burning is to do them last. When I do my touch-ups I never put any relaxer on my edges until I'm ready to do the last smoothing. The time that it takes for me to smooth is enough time for the edges to relax without burning or overprocessing.

NO! Don't get it for your baby's hair NOR for your baby hair! Baby hair around your edges is usually soft and supple, why would you want to perm it?

I think that you are talking about the new profectiv product- precision touch or something like that. It is a different formula (they dont even use the mousse with it) from the old one, and I am curious as to what the differences are. It is more economical to have smaller sized packages for when you just want to do the eges. I dont relax my baby hair, but there are a few spots around my edges that I wouldnt mind relaxing more frequently than the rest (especially since I go every 4 months between relaxers).

This sounds useless. Just put the relaxer on the baby hair last and then it's all good.

I think that this product is supposed to be good for people with weak or thinning edges. Even when relaxers don't burn, they may still thin out some people's edges.

I find a product like that more worrisome than a regular relaxer. It's marketed as something that can be used more frequently than a regular relaxer and it comes in a super strength. I can just imagine someone thinking it was okay to slap that on their hairline every week.
