I didnt listen to the song. And I'm not even saying that he said anything wrong. I personally just hate it when I get called out just because I have natural hair. Like when I'm walking somebody shouts out "Hey there, Ms Badu!" I give them the side-eye like "really?". I just feel like I shouldn't be judged as a person just because of the way I wear my hair. There's no song called "Ms. Relaxed Head" or "Ms. Weave Head" (maybe there is but that would be hilarious).

But maybe I'm taking this too seriously so I'll take a seat now.

I don't think it's quite the same thing but ok These guys are trying to show support to women who wear their hair natural. It's no secret that a lot of men show negativity towards natural hair.

This song isn't really making assumptions about personality, interests, etc based on hair. I hate that too, like when people think I'm a black panther or something because of my hair.

Don't take a seat, if that's how you feel, that's how you feel. And there is a song about weave, but it's not positive.
