I started working on Monday and I love the job. However I was a little worried about the hair, because my boss has a relaxer and so does other woman I work with. Well the first 2 days i wore a puff, but the on the third day I wore twist, they were like WOW how much did you pay to get your hair done like that. I said nothing because I did it myself. They loved it and on friday I wore a twist out they went on and on about how pretty it is and they love the color. I was very happy to hear those compliments and now I can really be me. GOD gave me the job the that is the best fit for me.

That's wonderful! People are my job always get excited when I wear my hair out too. I have never had any qualms about my hair being natural but I had no idea it'd get the kudos it gets coz back home in Kenya, it'd just be like any ol' hair. No biggie.

So happy for you!

I'm glad that everything is working out for you!!!

It is annoying that we have to worry about people accepting us the way God intended us to be.

If I offended anyone with that word, I apologize and I change the wording. But it was very nice to be accepted for who I am.

It seems you are in the right place
It's funny. I get more compliments on my natural hair now than when I was relaxed. I wore a twist out today, and all my co-workers were ooohing and aaahing :look:

I know that's my constant worry so it's great to hear when people accept you and your hair for what they are....I hope I can have as great an experience when I finally reveal! Thank you for sharing :hug3:
