A Gel Substitute or Mineral Oil Free Pomade
Currently I have been trying to keep my hair in protective styles. So far my hair is healthy and I have a consistent regimen that I use every week. I am a little below el and I'm trying to get to sl. I do phony ponies, phony buns etc. and I have to use gel to smooth down my hair, by the time I wash my hair I see excess breakage because of the gel. I use IC Gel with sparkelites, and have tryed others. They all seem to do the same thing on my hair. I even moisturize and use a leave in before smoothing with gel. I know I could use let's jam, smooth & shine and elasta qp glaze, but they all have mineral oil in their ingredients which I've sworn off and I'm afraid these will clog my scalp pores and hinder my progress. Could anyone post any suggestions as to what you use to smooth down your hair for buns, phony ponies etc?
