This is my first one ladies!
I was walking to the store and a boy and girl were watching me.
As I passed, the boy said “Let me touch your hair.”
I kept walking and heard the girl say “It’s a weave.”
And yes, she was one of those heffas with 4 inches of hair that’s fried and eaten up and gelled down to her scalp with pre con.
Now... my hair is only 6-7 inches (maybe more since I haven’t measured it recently) and 1-1.5 inches on the sides, back and front because of a bad relaxer.
And I was wearing a twist-out which makes it look only 4 inches or so. My twist-outs don’t look all that different from my natural texture either. I wear them because my hair shrinks too much if I let it dry naturally.
I don’t know why they would think that it‘s a weave, my hair isn’t excessively beautiful. I mean, you can tell that I take care of it because it’s on the glossy side and is not brittle and has volume, but I don’t have pretty hair like so many of you on the lhcf. I mean a lot of your hair looks like hair commercial hair!
I’m even embarrassed to post pictures of it because it’s broken off on the sides, front and in the back and I have to wear hairstyles to hide it. It doesn’t look perfect like your either
Maybe my hair isn’t as bad looking as I think it is though. It does looks glossy and healthy in pictures, but it’s not what I see in the mirror for some reason.
I would never think that someone would think that it’s fake though.
Maybe it was that I was walking in sunlight and my hair isn’t dark brown (like 2 or three shades lighter) and it makes it look... lighter I guess. And it was wind blowing my hair all around... plus my hair is very thick and only texturized, so a few hours after I’ve parted it you can’t see any of the parts anymore. I’m guessing that it’s because of the thickness, I’m not sure... anyone know why?
Well regardless of the reason, honeychild thought that I was sporting a weave, so I know that my hair really is coming along slowly but surely.
Thank you for your tips and advice everyone!
And I mean EVERYONE!
Even when I don’t post questions I’m always there reading yours and the answers to em’ too!
