I'm totally tired of wash and go's. I cant wear my hair down every day now with this because its winter and I can't go outside with wet hair.
Do you think it would really hurt my hair to blow-dry it once a week with NO flat iron use? If I blow dry it, I can french braid it every night to create nice thick waves (like in my signature) and I can wear it down/feel more confident.

Plus, some recent pictures of my hair. I recently hit waist length but was in desperate need of a trim so I guess I'm somewhere around MBL, I don't really know.

Will it still turn out as smooth? I don't know I honestly only usually use heat on my hair once a year with a heat protectant, does the cool setting work well? Is it just the heat that bothers the hair?

If You use a Heat Protectant and Deep Condition prior at just once a week it shouldn't be a problem, Especially if You be sure to moisturize, You should be OK!

Co-Signing. I used to get my hair blown out every week like CLOCKWORK and it was on the super high heat settings that they use at the salon. Still, my hair FLOURISHED and had no problem growing and retaining length. Just remember the heat protectant, deep conditioning and moisturize when needed.

I don't think that you should be okay with a blow dry once a week as long as you use a heat protectant.
I blow dry/flat iron once a week.

Just pay attention to how your hair is reacting. You may need to do protein treatments more often because of the increased heat. Just listen to your hair.
Can you do roller sets once a week?

Beautiful hair BTW.

I personally don't like to blow dry.

What I do is add my leave-ins and mousse, comb my hair straight back, then put this nylon scull cap thingy or a scarf on my head and sit under the hooded dryer.
If my roots are thick, I will part my hair down the middle to let the back dry. The hair comes out pretty straight doing this.

When my hair gets as long as yours, I will prolly do 2-4 ponytails, cover and dry with the ends on rollers. HTH

yes I dont see a problem with blowdrying if you use proper technique...keep it on the cool setting till your mostly dry and then use low heat... There is a U tuber who uses a blowdryer once a month. Her hair is long so she must be doing something right. She is natural so I would imagine your hair would be even easier to blow dry than hers. I will post a link

By the way you have very beautiful tresses :) great growth!

I don't have anything to add because I'm avoiding heat like the plague right now but your hair is sooooo beautiful!!

BEAUTIFUL HAIR! (I especially love it in the first pic. Your shine is amazing).

Would you try rollersetting instead of using a blowdryer?
