Blackmasterpiece also she is getting to the point where she does not want me to see her naked the bathtub probably wont work after a year or so. i also dread not being able to wash and put a bubble wont be attractive so if you could offer guidance on how you style natural hair for a preteen would be great

BMP will help you as she's a styling master. But I also thought you might check out YouTube for buns for long hair. Just search for "long hair bun". Lots of them involve putting the hair into separate braids or twists and then putting those braids or twists into buns. That might make it easier for you to manipulate.
