My bf and myself are practicing abstaining from sex. We both are working on our relationship with God. He has been studying and taking steps in which he hasn't dranked in 6 weeks, which I know is hard for him. We have been abstaining for two months. He has decided to join church and get closer to God. It seems we're on the right track.

We have been having arguments over nothing. It seems things come up out of no where. I thought being on the same accord with God would strengthen us, it seems it's picking at us. I don't understand. We both have a great desire to walk with God.

The devil doesn't like it when you're trying to do right. :nono:
Abstaining from sex (and quitting drinking) can make any person stressed out and irritable.
Has your bf noticed the petty fights too?
Keep praying and hang in there. :)

That’s what the devil wants you to think. Stay your course. Resist the devil and he will flee you. Once the devil knows he can’t incite you to argue and that you won’t be discouraged he’ll retreat/leave. Then of course he’ll wait and look for another opening of attack.

syze6, I agree with what everyone else has said.

God bless you on your Christian walk!
