4b Natural Hair Hangs and Swings....If You Brush it?

Okay - I actually found some henna *does happy dance* so I was playing with my hair while I'm waiting for the color to release, and I decided to try this. My hair is fresh out of twists, I coated it with castor oil, then brushed well with my Denman. It was actually easier to brush than I thought it would be - esp. since I can see my ends (where the tangles usually are).

That's about the 'hangiest/swingiest' it got. I could see this working if I was longer - APL, maybe. I don't see it lasting long, though, unless I used a powerful anti-humectant - it would puff up in a heartbeat. :nono:

I remember my hair did puff but not to the degree that shrinkage can make my hair shrink.

Imagine doing this with WL natural hair!!! :lick:

My hair shrinks to my ears and dont hang nowhere and I cant get no brush through it :perplexed:ohwell:

See, this is going to send me back to relaxers. :nono: Shrinkage. If my brush can't tame it....I know sodium-something-or-another-ide will. :lachen:

I appreciate all the thought you ladies have put into this, humoring my randomness.

You are all too kind to this silly little lamb. :lachen:

 I totally can!! I don't want to think of the work involved, :nono: but the result would most likely look like that lady in the 'How do you get Natural Hair to grow this long?' thread. :yep: Now I understand how she got her hair like that. :lick:

But that's what it is! I love your randomness! lol!

Sigh, I have got to learn to navigate this site more efficiently, I keep responding to super-old threads...oh well

I hate shrinkage. I brush my hair with the famed jojoba brush and some moisturizing leave-in, and I love it. I'm glad I kept my receipt cuz I'm taking that denman brush back to sally's where I found it. I have thick hair so it still gets big, and I'm not sure how much it swings, but it definitly bounces. I love going up and down the stairs at work so I can let others admire my bouncy curls lol!...sorry ladies, I'm still kind of a newby excited about being natural.
