4a/b Self Relaxers?

I've completely lost faith in salons, and I take better care of my own hair so I've been doing my own relaxers for about 2 years now my hair's very healthy, problem is I use Optimum and it leaves my hair very dry to where I'm moisturizing twice as much to get my hair back to normal afterwards. Are there any suggestions out there, Is there a better relaxer. I'm 9 wks into needing a relaxer so If there is something better please tell me about it.

i'm 4a/b and i use Revlon Realistic Professional Relaxer --Regular (lye) and really like the results i get using it

In use Elasta QP lye.

A few of us here use African Pride. It's no-lye. If you've tried both and lye is better for you, stick with a lye relaxer.

Me, I use optimum care and I know what ya mean.. i'm also looking for another one.. I tried African Pride once..I did like the outcome..so I think i'ma go back to it

I use the Revlon Realistic lye too! I am 4a. I don't have any problems with dryness using this one.
