I've been using my beloved Lacio Lacio, Elasta QP Recovery and coconut/castor oil mix and it's just not working for me anymore. I'm kinda upset because my hair would dry so nice and soft but now it drys all crunchy and stuff:( .

Can you ladies please tell me what products are working for you because maybe they can work for me. I really don't want to go out and buy up all these different products but I guess I'm gonna have to in order to find what works**sighs**.

I failed to mention that I airdry in a bun.

Thanks in advance for all your responses!:)

I use the following:

*Aphogee Green Tea & Keratin Restructurizer - sprayed on damp hair
*Giovanni Direct Leave-In Conditioner or Qhemet Sidr Tree Butter Balm - smoothed through hair
*WGO or (lately) Hair 2 Heaven End All Pomade - to seal

Thanks PJ. I've been hearing so much about this Hair 2 Heaven Pomade. I might have to look into that. What's the web address again? Oh and about how much is it?

Bumping for more products ya'll............

You can get patient1's "Hair 2 Heaven" products here:

http://www.hair2heaven.com/

The "End All" is under the Pomades section. It's $6 a jar. It smells sooooooo nice, like ginger and honey.:lick: This product has many uses, but I found that my hair airdries very soft and shiny when I use it this way.

ooohh, oooh ooohh, the Giovanni Direct Leave in is DA BOMB but only use a little if you get this. I have a variety of leave ins so my hair will not get immuned to the same thing. For wet hair I use Giovanni Direct Leave In or Fantasia IC Olive Oil Leave in conditioner and for Dry hair I'm using my NTM silktouch. I'm currently looking for another one now...I might try the hair2heaven products soon.:)

Thanks! $6 isn't bad. Plus you make it sound so yummy I'm even more interested in it. How many weeks post are you when using this product?

I just use Lacio Lacio.

I tried this before and I got the same results. I don't know what the problem is. It worked so well in the beginning but now........
I've even tried using just Giovanni Direct and it still came out BLAH!

I use Fermodyl 619, Qhemet's Sidr Tree Butter Balm and Serum( I like a mixture of Fantasia IC (in the pink bottle) and CHI Silk Infusion.

My hair airdries soft and moisturized so I can flatiron on medium heat.

I'm 9 weeks post right now. I was just using an oil (usually WGO) to seal in the moisturizer, and it was OK, but I think the End All actually makes my hair dry a bit smoother. I tie it down and airdry in a ponytail. I've also tried using a serum (Fantasia IC, pink bottle) to seal instead of an oil, and that made my hair dry smoother, as well. I really don't like using cones, though, so I'll only do that if I plan to flatiron.

Hey Tsmith, I've tried the Giovanni Direct Leave in. My ng was still crunchy the next day but my ends airdried soft, with just a lil frizz:( .

I mix the following products and apply them to damp hair:
Elucence Moisture Balance conditioner (a little goes a long way)
100% pure coconut oil (this is the bulk of the mixture)
100% pure castor oil (a dab will do ya)

My hair dries very soft and fluffy. Plus there isn't a yucky residue on my hair either. And it smells nice.

Do you airdry in a bun? Probably not since you flat iron huh? Your mix sounds good too. Do you mind explaining how you apply everything, please?

I use these oils in my mix too. I'm sure they aren't making my hair crunchy.

I use Fantasia IC Olive Oil Serum (the green bottle) to seal with too. I bought some Fermodyl 619 because of you and I can't wait to try it:grin: . I noticed that your link is gone to order the 12 pack Fermodyl:)

I've never tried serum to airdry before. I'm gonna try that tonight:grin: .

So you just rub (a lil bit) it throughout your hair and add the serum and you're good to go? I will def try using serum.

No I just airdry with my hair down, which is getting tricky as it gets longer. We'll see how things unfold there. :)

Basically, I massage one of the Fermodyl 619 ampoules in. This makes my hair soft and it is easier to apply my creamy one. Without the Fermodyl - :nono:

Then I rub a little of the Sidr Tree Butter Balm in my hands to melt it a bit and apply it in sections all over until I have everything covered. When I have lots of NG, I have to keep it on my fingers so I can get down in there.

Then I put on my serum and let it airdry.

Sounds like a lot, but it works for me. I don't have to apply any moisturizer for days if I do this right (sometimes I rush and screw up the creamy leave in part :) )

All that matters is that it's working for you. You sound like you got your ish together:lol: . Thanks for answering all my questions. I normally airdry in a bun. I might try airdrying loose after I relax.

I use Lacio Lacio as well and also seal with Fantasia IC Olive Oil serum.

e$h, I was having a similar problem recently as I felt like my Lacio wasn't working for me. However, it turned out that I needed to clarify with a real clarifying shampoo(I used Pantene Purify Clarifying shampoo). As a result, my lacio lacio is working for me again . My ORS Creamy Aloe shampoo wasn't cutting it. Have you considered clarifying to see if that would work? That could be the problem and it may save you some time and money in having to buy new products.

I clarify quite often. That's why I'm just like.....what is wrong?!? I dunno, maybe my hair became immune to those products and it was time to move on to something else. Who knows.....
Thanks for your response.

I use Profectiv's Break Free....

ETA:
and I sometimes put Profectiv's RootHealth on my new growth....

I airdry in a bun also!
