How do you like it? Does it moisturize your hair? I remember using this stuff a while back and it made y hair dry but some people swear by this. I am thinking of revisiting this because it is on sale.

There was a huge thread here about this. I think it was started by Sonce who has some seriously long 4B hair.

I decided based upon that thread not to try it because I am a 4B with extra thick hair.

I will see if I can find the thread.

I don't like it because it makes me itch. Otherwise, it felt OK. My DD's used it, but they didn't see any benefit. I wonder if there is something else I can do with the almost full bottle? I'm getting tired of pouring stuff down the sink.

So many seem to love it, but I didn't like it at all. It went on really nice and smooth and detangled. But then it dried and made my hair hard and almost seemed to leave a film on my hair. After a few tries I gave up with this product!

this stuff gets 2 thumbs down4 me... it sits on my hair and dries kinda tacky... I t didnt add any softness... i dont like it :(

Some ppl love it tho!

Actually I have half a bottle just chillen and I dont have the heart to trash it.... PM me if you want if free of charge.... I will even ship it free!!!!

ETA: The bottle is spoken for lol

I love it. It is a staple for me, especially when I am 8+ weeks post relaxer. I have medium-thick hair, half 4a with 4b in the crown area. I seal with my butters (now that it's winter) after using it and my hair air dries really soft.

I didn't like it, it left my hair coated and sticky and kind of hard and I used it when I was natural and relaxed, and I saw no benefits to my hair either!

I do not like the CONDITIONER...It dried up and frizzied my hair.

The shampoo is good though. I like it.

The kind I used is the Smooth as Silk denomination though...if that matters.

I have some 4/a areas and I didn't really like it, it left too much of a residue, and made my styles pretty stiff. This one is a no-go for me

This leave in is for the birds...I think this product has too much protein and that is why it makes the hair hard and then it snaps! I put this product in my hair before I cornrowed my hair and I think I left the braids in for about 14 days, when I took my hair down and straightned it, there was so much breakage I wanted to scream. This product goes on good, but ends up bad! Use with caution.

I Swear who wants to trade? I have 1 full bottle and one 1/2 full botttle. It sucks for my hair.

I tried it when i was fully natural, relaxed and in transition and it didn't do it for me; left much to be desired.

2 thumbs up from me :yep:

It's a great detangler, great leave in... it

I have enough new growth to know my natural hair loves it too.

I think I may have some 4a hair in there, but I love giovanni direct, the key to using it with success is using a dime size amount (more if your natural) on soaking wet hair, if you use it on towel dried hair or dry hair it sucks big time,

but on soaking wet hair it detangles my hair and leaves my hair thoroughly moisturized until next wash.

I wonder why it works on soaking wet hair better than not so much.

I love it. It leaves my hair soft and free of tangles every time. I only use it on wet hair with a serum though. It seems like it would be horrible on dry hair.

I have 4a hair and this leave in also made my hair dry. Rosemary is the second ingredient on the list and I realized my hair does not like high doses of rosemary. Creme of Nature's Rosemary and Lemon grass leave in was a bust for me too.

Aqua (Purified Water), Rosemary (Rosmarinus Officinalis) Oil, Nettle (Urtica Dioica) Oil, Thyme (Thymus Vulgaris) Oil, Birch Leaf (Butela Alba) Oil, Chamomile (Anthemis Nobilis Flower) Oil, Clary (Salvia Sclarea), Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia), Coltsfoot Leaf (Tussilago Fargara), Yarrow (Achillea Millefolium) Oil, Mallow (Malya Sylvestris), Horsetail (Equisetum Arvense) Oil, Soybean Protein (Glycine Soja), Cetyl Alcohol (Plant Derived), Tocopherol (*Vitamin E), Trace Minerals, Citric Acid (Corn), Sodium Hydroxymethlyglycinate, Grapefruit Seed (Citrus Derived)

I'm 4 a/b texlaxed and love Giovanni Direct. I use it on wet hair and when I am further along in my stretch I use a good amount. I have never gotten a white residue on my hair. After using it I seal with oil or shea butter. My hair is always very soft. I have also used it as a spray moisturizer to spray on my braids when wearing half wigs. I just dilute it in a spray bottle with water and it leaves my hair soft as well. I still didn't get the white residue. This is my staple leave in because it doesn't have the cones, leaves my hair soft and makes it easy for me to detangle.
