Just wondered what the difference is betweein your straightened/stretched hair length and where your twistout sits.

I want my twistouts to reach at least SL, but not sure what length I have to get to for that to happen evenly.

I just cut my hair back to CL and now my twist outs hang a bit below my ears.

when my hair was about an inch past APL my twistouts rested right on my shoulders

Hair at the bottom of my bra. Braid outs (have never done twist outs) hit just below my shoulders at my collarbone.

My flat twist outs sit about shoulder length, the back is a little bit longer. When my hair is straightened it's about MBL, maybe a little bit longer now.

I cut my hair into an asymmetric bob

So the front is SL and the back is neck length.

I am not sure what length I am straightened, maybe SL/CBL

I'm between apl and bsl (it's been a while since I've done a proper length check). My twist outs are between nl and sl. My hair shrinks throughout the day, especially if it's humid.

My youngest is a 4 something (B I think) and her hair is past APL and reaches SL with twistouts.

Does fine hair get better 'hang time', I wonder?

Not for my DD I have to really coax it to get it to lay down at all cause it has NO weight to it. It grows straight up and in order to get it to hang at all I have to blow dry it and use styling wax before a twist or braid out. Here's a pic of it in an unstyled puff I think she could be floor length and still not have hang...

My hair is WHip length. If I was doing a regular twistout without stretching my hair first it would be a little past SL. If I stretched it before twisting, it can reach APL.

She is gorgeous!

And she is my ultra fine cottony texture 4c hair twin. Lol. I use plain old grease or a super thick shea and cocoa pomade to weigh it down.

As for the OP I am almost sl and TOs are EL to NL

i agree with everything you said but im in control of how my hair hangs because I'm relaxed and i use rollers at the ends but i don't like it hanging too low because it doesn't last

Fine haired 4a with tbl hair that is bsl-mbl in a braid/twist out if I band. If I omit the banding, it'll hang around apl.
