S-Curl, NTM Leave-in and Sylver2's scarf method. I don't try to tame the new growth per se.........I just camouflage it by keeping it as flat as possible. Her scarf method has worked wonders for me.
Thanks for replying, I think i'm going to layer my hair with profectiv roothealth, s-curl and keracare leave in, and continuing tying my hair down hopefully it will keep my newgrowth softer.

loreal nature's therapy unfrizz worked well for me in taming my new growth without having to apply anything else other than wgo to my scalp strictly for gp ;)
I remember using l'oreal unfizz as a texturized head, i remember how much slip it gave me.

Amla Oil and Humectress poos.
Mango Butter for flatter styles.

I love mixing activator gel with oils in the palm of my hand, then smoothing it on my hair. I comb my hair back to a ponytail and then put on scarf.

Elasta QP Mango Butter with a scarf and tie down for a while. NG lays flat all day. I also use the butter to smooth my ends. ORS Carrot Oil works too.

I have to totally agree! I add jojoba oil and a lil water and I'm good to go :)
