2015 - Full STEAM Ahead

Steamed with:
Mission:Condition's Candy Hair and M:C's Honey Marshmallow (over a Green Tea Rinse)

With KeraVada Oil on top

Steaming with a mix of conditioners and coconut oil. My hair has been behaving so nicely since I started steaming!

steamed for 30 minutes last night with silicon mix + some cheapy conditioners that Iam trying to use up.

I am sitting under my steamer later on today with Joico Moisture recovery treatment balm. I am really looking forward to it.

I assembled my LCL steamer last night. It was easy enough to do, but two legs were cracked. I figured it wasn't a huge deal and went ahead and steamed today.

The good news: I loved it. My hair felt great and looked so shiny.

The bad news: the waste water jar and the piece that attaches it to the bonnet came off together. I tried screwing it back in, but its as if the screw holes are stripped. Not good.

I gave LCL a call and they can send a new base. The rep wasn't sure what to do about the waste jar issue. If they don't have a small fix, she says she'll just send me new steamer.

Update: LCL sent me a new base. The rep suggested I use longer screws for the waste water jar. I picked some up at Home Depot for $1 and they worked like charm. Woohoo, Full Steam Ahead!

Sitting under my new steamer for the first time. YAY. DH put it together for me the other night.

Steaming with APB Blueberry Cheesecake DC. :lick:

WOWAH!!!!!!!!!

Between the steaming and APB conditioner, my hair is super moisturized and my coils are looking fab! LOVE!

It is amazing what steaming can do for your hair. I am not sure where you live but here in Pittsburgh it has been bitter cold but my hair stays moisturized and I contribute this to regular steaming.

How long have you been steaming?

Thanks,
Roz

@Rozlewis:

Yesterday was, my first time. I did 30 minutes. How long do most people steam.

And it's definitely cold here in North Texas. It's been in the single digits and low teens in the morning, without counting the wind chill (the norm this time of the year is around 50 degrees). Boooo! My hair felt great this morning though. :yep:

I think a lot of people steam for 30 minutes. At least that is what I do. I have been steaming now for about 2 years. It makes a world of difference. I am so glad you saw a noticeable difference after just one session. Happy steaming!!

Steaming for 30 minutes with KBB Luscious Locks Hair Mask and my almond/jojoba/argan oil mix.

Sent from my iPad using LHCF

I need to get a steam session in ASAP but I'm so tired. Tomorrow I'm definitely steaming. It's been 17 degrees here so I need to treat my hair. I'm not sure what products I'll use yet.

Steaming with Claudie’s Moisturizing DC, Porosity Control, Olive Oil, Peppermint, Rosemary, and Eucalyptus oil over coffee.

Steamed last night with SheScentIt Curl Moist & Riche Moisture. I plan to steam at least twice a week with my LCL steamer.

Steamed with Curl Junkie Curl Rehab. I absolutely HATED this product when I used under my Pibbs. The steamer made the difference and got this DC to HG status.

Didn't get to steam on my henna because it was storming. Now it's time to get up and wash it out. Probably will just sleep on deep condish and not steam that either, so I'll skip adding the tea rinse under it.
