My hubby got me the CHI Turbo Flat Iron Yesterday for Mothers Day and i love it. I have never experience anything like it. my hair is silky smooth and it moves with me when i walk. I used the Silk Infusion with it and it made my hair soft and shiny. I read a couple reveiws on it on a couple different sites and everyone loves it, but they say it breaks easily. a lot of people said that theirs died before a year. I so do hope not because my hubby bought it from a BSS that only students and stylist can buy from, but because he didn;t have a license they will not honor the warrenty. I'm a Cosmotology student and shop their all the time. Have anyone had any difficulty with the CHI iron? beside that I LOVE IT!!!:)

I have one and I love it. It is actually a hand me down. The person who gave it to me told me that she had it for 5 years and she wanted a new one. I actually am thinking of getting one of the hot pink ones that Ulta beauty supply stores sells. I love it also, actually you just motivated me to wash my hair and use it!

Did either of you apply anything to your hair before using your Chi?

i used mine with the Chi silk infusion. and it made my hair soft and shiny.

It is a great flat iron to have. Make sure you put something on your hair before you start applying the heat. If I were you, I wouldn't use it more than once a week or better yet, once every two weeks. I use the Deep Brilliance Reflect or the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum before flat ironing my hair.

Have you had any experience with other flat irons?

I've used HOt & GOLD no cmparison and i've used JDS flat Irons and they are good they get your hair straight, but not straight, silky and smooth like the CHI.

I second this notion! I went to the salon and the stylist used this on my hair. He used 2 forms of heat protectant and I love it.

Pictures in my album....
