Thanks! I dont think i mean mini twist. I mean 2 strand twist. I saw a style I liked and I was told by several stylist that because of my texture it wouldnt look the same. I think my texture will make them look thin and raggedyMy daughter has type 3ish hair, past tailbone. I do twists for her, not sure if they would be considered mini-twists... I make between 30-50 twists; any more and the individual twists are too stringy and prone to excessive tangles. Two weeks is the maximum that they last, and that only works if she never, ever forgets to wear a scarf at night and does not run around outside like a normal kid, . I will see if I can find any pictures.
Thats what the two stylist said. See this was one of the styles I was waiting to do when I was a natural.Oh yeah, my hair is maybe closer to 4a but twists like that look very scraggly on my hair, I'd be lucky if twists like that will last a week.
I asked the stylist how long this would last and she told me for me at most 2 weeks with the second week being a twist out. Im looking for a protective style for a few weeks while I get out my hair funk otherwise I may do something regret lol.I have fine hair and tried 2 strand twists this past weekend. By Thursday I had to take down the twists. I thinks twists are not an option for my hair.
I wear 2 strand twist and my hair is 3? to 4a I suppose. They last me three week and I've sometimes stretched them to four. That fourth week is definitely pushing though. I've never incorporated flat twist with the style. I don't know if that would make a difference. I'll look for some pics...
Thanks, @Rocky91 .Wow @Natural-K your hair is gorgeous
OP I am in the same boat as you density wise. 4a/4b but very fine and low to medium density-twists always look scalpy so if I do them it’s solely to keep them pinned up.
