To those of you who do Bantu knots or 2 strand twists w/their hair, what do you use to secure your hair? I use bobbi/hair pins. They have the lil ball at the end of it. When i bantu my hair together i use the pins to secure it but then when i take them out sometimes i rip some of my hari out so im afraid to go to that style after i take out these braids. All that length i have worked for be ripped out. I dont want to use the lil black small rubberbands cause THAT does worse at ripping out your hair than the pins. Maybe i should try some 'Good Day Hair Pins'? I can get them from places like Rite aid, meijers, farmer jack and other drug stores, right?

How many twists does she have on her head? That is exactly what I want to do to my daughter's hair. But I have to know exactly what I'm going to do. She's a little impatient with my experimenting with her hair. Any guesstimates? And is that just a normal twisting because my twisting don't look like that. She looks like she has loops which is the look I want to achieve but can't. Does it require tighter twisting maybe? I am so natural-styling challenged.
