When I near the end of the braid, I tied it twice, cut the excess and then burned it by using a duck clip to hold the end. Flicking that lighter 100x numbed my thumb!
lol yes my thumb and middle of my hand was in pain when i did mine geez

I really likem...they're cute.

This is great for your first install... you only get better with practice, but I'm not sure if you need much more...

I have been putting it off but yours are making me light a fire. They are beautiful. So professional looking.

NICE! I desperately want to try these but I lack patience and I don't know if this is a good option for fine haired ladies.

Those look AMAZING! Why have I been sleeping on yarn braids? I have so much yarn from crocheting it's ridiculous. Of course work may look down at bright purple braids. :giggle:

Was there a particular YT video you found extremely helpful?

that looks really nice, I still don't know what yarn braids are but your hair looks hot and soooo neat. looks professional.

i learned from YT and got so good i am now doing others' hair and charging...

...i think you could DEFINITELY take this there. heck, i'd pay you!

great job! -writes down yarn brand/color-

Muy bonita! I have to say you did a gorgeous job! You're right, if you can do it, that gives me inspiration! I've cornrowed before, but without extensions! I would love to learn to do my own hair, but I do hate the thought of taking them down! They are very beautiful indeed, and the color is bangin'!

I didn't say, but you should use %100 Acrylic instead of wool or cotton. Wool, I understand locs your hair and cotton absorbs all of your hairs moisture.

I learned from the mistakes and advice of others.

This is very helpful. Thanks for posting this. I know nothing about doing yarn or crochet braids, or even any braids with extensions! All I know is how to burn the ends, and how to do the actual braid. IDK how to start the braid at the base by adding the extension hair with the natural hair!

If I could master that, then I would be doing it up with my own hair! lol I have got to learn from YT or somebody! This will be my project for spring and summer--to learn to braid using extensions. Can't wait! NewtoGrow, girl seeing your results has be so very excited and encouraged!:drunk:
