Best protective style: phony ponies! I bought my first one this year and now I have loads. So easy to bun in the morning and some are surprisingly natural looking and feeling. Love the ease.

I also have bought several wigs but still not confident enough to wear them without a beanie/beret/headscarf despite watching every blending video ever produced lol

Thing I'm most addicted to: Watching silk press and dominican blowout vids on YT since I know I'm too lazy to get mine done. I live through them LOL
 
Best Hair care line: The mane choice have become one of my favorite lines this year.

Best new product 2017: mielle organics curling custard (1st time using it this week). It has really amazed me this week. I have fallen in love.

I buy hydrolyzed Keratin protein and Wheat protein and just add them to my conditioner when needed. Also protein works better for the hair when combined with moisturizing conditioner instead of by itself....so I read.

Chicoro's prepoo method/recipe​

Judging by protection against hygral fatigue and judging by levels of moisture POST-POO, hands down, Chicoro's prepoo method/recipe. I use aloe straight from the leaf mixed with a TBS of CurlyProverbz DIY oil for STEP ONE. For STEP TWO, plain organic coconut oil (fractionated CO loses certain prepoo benefits, if I recall correctly).​

HairPrint Chelating Shampoo (it's truly nonstripping and has only awesome ingredients)​

Hands down. :yep: The ingredients list is incredible (chock full of ayurvedic and conditioning and moisturizing ingredients). It's slippery, moisturizing, cleansing, conditioning, and nurturing.​

Best Protein/Reconstructor Treatment:

Probably Komaza Protein Hair Strengthener. (I'm currently trialing Green Beauty Real Protein.)​

Shea Moisture's Manuka Honey masque

Under heat, rinsed out with cool water. :yep: My hair is actually hydrated and moisturized POST RINSE. :yep:​

The KareCo Tangle Buster Brush -- a tool, not a product -- and without a doubt. Detangling my completely shrunken, dried, tangled, knotted hair can now be done in 45 minutes or less versus 2 or 3 (even 4) hours . . . and with minimized hair in the brush. :yep: This brush is more valuable than each and every product I've ever tried. Ever.​

Best Protective style:

Twist bun made with an invisibobble hair tie (telephone-cord looking plastic hair band)

I'm wearing this style for the first time this week and it's SUPER simple: Ponytail the hair with the invisibobble in your color of choice. Split ponytail into two halves. Create two (2) separate two-strand twists out of the two halves of the ponytail. Wrap they twists around i.e., wrap ONE twist up and over and wrap the OTHER twist down and under), sliding the ends of the twists under the invisibobble to form a bun-shaped style.​
