Great progress BahamaMama! /images/graemlins/clap.gif I wish I'd thought to take a straight hair pic at the beginning of the challenge. /images/graemlins/wallbash.gif My hair looks & feels a lot longer than in January, but when I measure it's only about 3.5 inches longer. It's different lengths all over so measuring is kind hit & miss for me. Hope I can grab another 1.5" before the end of December.

Thankfs JCG! /images/graemlins/grin.gif
As for your pics, you have DEFINITELY progressed a LOT! I (we) can see it, even if the measurements don't say much- trust me, I was 10-12 inches (sections) at the start, and months later I was still measuring in at 10 or 11-12 inches /images/graemlins/confused.gif even though my hair had visibly gotten longer...either mismeasuring took place and/or, only the shorter sections progressed to catch up to the longer sections, accounting for visual change but measuring inconsistency /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif
Oh well, looks like everyone's doing pretty well! I didn't think I'd end up with adding 12 inches in 12 months, but my hope is retaining 6-8 at the end of this. That's more than my usual yearly rate lol

DSD you are doing soooo good. I really think you should be a FOTM. I mean your hair has thrived and looks great! Your regimen and progress is definately what LHCF is all about!

I relaxed my hair on Friday and I have made great progress those Delinea tablets have definitely made the difference.

Thanks!!

DSD , I'm reluctantly retracting myself from this challenge for 6 months, i was becoming too obssesed with measuring so i begun a 6 month' "no measuring challenge". i can't tell how much growth, i'll still try to do everything i can to achieve an inch per month.

That is fine. You have to do what is best for you and your hair. I may need to consider this challenge of yours. Watching hair grow is like watching grass seeds grow. It's a slow process that takes plenty of patience.

I am not obsessed with measuring but I remember when my hair grew before I didn't do anything but wash every two weeks and relax every eight. There was no measuring length and setting goals. It just grew!!

the bottom is FINALLY collarbone length! its coming along! now the crown is harder for me to tell the difference.

I've done virtually no care for my hair this year. And boy how it shows: I might have only gained two inches since last year  I've had more stress this year than in any previous year of my life, and I've had to set a lot of personal pampering on the back-burner.

Now that I have a handle on my spiritual and financial issues, I can pursue hair care again. I'm going to join the next challenge, and clock in at 14 inches or more!

This is my former regime:

+ hair supplements (heavy)
+ moisture (heavy)
+ brushing, ponytailing

For the next challenge, I wish to:

+ biotin supplements only
+ maintain my heavy moisturizing
+ choose products that give manageability for combing (to replace zero manipulation)
+ routine visits to a professional barber
