This was the only natural hairstyle I could never successfully complete. Previously I would rock braid/twist outs, plaits, twists, ponys and of course occasionally blowout or flatiron.

First pic is a 3 day old WnG.....excuse my shockface LOL

It's never too late to learn!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

That tailbone length hair looks GORGEOUS as a wash in go with pretty, soft and shiny curls!

Very pretty!
What made you decide to try it again, and how did you know/hope it would work this time?
-what inspired you?

My daughter helped me LOL. I convinced her to go natural years ago. She ALWAYS wore puffs and then recently wash n go that looked great but we have 2 completely different textures and what worked for her was a fail for me. I honestly envied her ability to rock it and how easy the style is to do. She began following #blackgirlcurls on Instagram and Facebook and I noticed her hair had really began to look even better. She gifted me a subscription to their digital forum and suggested I ask them questions and for advice and I did. Each wng I did got progressively better and better. After fine tuning the products and learning how to actually properly apply products like UFD, learning to layer products for my unique hair texture then setting the style was a game changer.

Didn't think it would happen but YAY for an easy, no fuss hairstyle I can get so simply with just as predictable results as my braid and twist outs.

It looks great, the WnG can feel like the elusive unicorn sometimes. I still get mixed results. Now come on sis you've got to share some of these gems you learned!

I agree; I almost never get a successful wash & go... I want to know how you did it @LynnieB. Was the magic all in the products?

My twistouts look like your wash & go pictures; it would be great to achieve the same look with less work,.

I used to be a pro at braidouts. Everyone came out nice. Then I big chopped and started washngoing. Now I cant do a cute braidout to save my life.
Your hair is lovely! Ive always loved your hair.
