Don'tspeakdefeat gets 1 and a half inch a month from taking Freeda's Biotin. She takes from 12mg to 7.5mg a day. I just got some and I hope that it works for me.

I average 1 inch a month doing daily and nightly scalp massages with rosemary, cedarwood, peppermint, lavender, jojoba, emu and aloe oil.

Two months ago I chopped 8 inhces from my relaxed hair...leaving me with four inches of natural hair.
As of October I now have six.
I also eat high protein/omega 3,6,9, no carbs and 2 gallons of water a day.

4a/natural
medium texture
growing like crazy

Sterry,
This is off topic but do you eat absolutely no carbs or do you eat some such as brown rice? I too eat very low carbs, high protein and my omegas. I haven't totally eliminated them though because I enjoy organic brown rice sometimes and lots of veggies. I ask because I think high protien and low (or perhaps no carbs) carbs are a key to healthy hair growth.

Hey Isis,

I wish I were completely carb free. Sometimes ice cream and chocolate get the best of me.

But for the most part. I never have been a chip, bread, pasta, doughnut, cookie, cake, white potato eater. I do eat my vegetables which are carbs but not simple carbs. (no corn)
Most of the time it's a lean meat. (Chicken, fish, egg white)only. Or protein/soy shake. And a dark green vegetable. Also an occasional sweet potato.
When I have a craving I indulge in U-turn or a balance bar. I average about 19-20 grams of complex carbs a day.
So I guess I should have said low carb.

Sterry, that is great. Man I wish I could say I wasnt a bread-chip-pasta-doughnut-cookie-cake-white-potato eater. I fight to stay away from some of this stuff. Girl you GO! I am glad to read this. It's like that kick in the pants I need to stay on track

. I do eat healthy but that junkie side gets the best of me more often than it should. Im still tryna find that combo of food and physical activitity that well let me achieve one inch a month or more. Right now it looks like 3/4 per month, thanx to my msm I believe

Thanks Sterry! I too stay away from the simple carbs and especially from corn. I want to incorporate more brown rice into my diet mainly because of all the B vitamins it contains as well as Vit. E. I noticed women in countries (like Asian countries) where the main staple is rice seem to have long, beautiful, healthy-looking hair. Even their white rices are unprocessed with all of the vitamins and minerals intact.

I have gotten anywhere from one inch to 2 inches. For me it requires alot of discipline to get more than one inch. I am a believer in the high protein diet. It makes all the differnce for me. I also find that regular exercise and daily rinsing will shoot my growth up to 2inch mark, even without the vitamins.

Well, when I was not doing anything to grow my hair longer and a month after my relaxer I measured my new grow. It was a half of an inch. Then three weeks ago I started taking 5mg of Biotin and 3000mg of MSM. Then last Monday, I started using Surge and doing scalp massages morning and night for 5 minutes. Today, I just decided to measure my new growth. It has been 7 weeks since my relaxer so I should have less than an inch of new growth. But, I had a little more than a inch an a half.

I could not believe it! I really wasn't sure if all this stuff was for real. But, I can see it with my own eyes now. An inch an a little more than an inch in 2 months is amazing. I have just started using the Surge too. So I will monitor this. Maybe I am just crazy but my hair does not grow this fast. I am hope this continues!

Hey ladies,
Just want to comment on the Asian women who have long beautiful hair often have fish as their staple. This is excellent for Omega 6 oils needed for maximum hair growth.

Yes, I agree. Their long beautiful hair is greatly affected by the fish they eat which has Omega oils. I want to add that besides eating the fish and rice, seaweed (such as kelp) is another staple in Asian countries and is also key to long beautiful hair. It's the natural iodine that's also great for hair growth and health.
