lol!! this was me today, used that blended beauty. my hair was big this afternoon when i left for work, and by the time i left tonight i was channeling chaka khan! though i love it big so it doesn't bother me.

idk, but i loves it! i can't wait. girl work tht hair and go on; don't b self conscious because it's nice!!!

girl, you crazy.

let me have hair like that, I'd show out like I was the Princess of Zamunda. Won't NOBODY tell me NOTHING. I'd be switching my tail every which way as I walked anywhere. Your hair is too much pretty.

Alternatively, you could shave it off and mail it to me so I can use for a natural sew-in.

jk?

AMAZING!!! Ill take some of it off your hands for you...let alone all of it!!! I cant wait (if ever come) for the day that my hair is that BIG and BEAUTIFUL!!!!

i can imagine how you feel. But why feel intimidated. It's your hair....love it. It's not important what others might think. Besides as you can tell, most girls including myself are dreaming of having hair like yours. I love it. Bet you wouldn't swap with me even if we could:wink2:

I understand how you feel as well. I was always used to wearing my hair rather straight, flat, and silky-looking with a relaxer. The only occasional contrast was a braidout here or there, done on my own, or hair that was just left to do it's thing after taking out braids/cornrows. I was definitely scared to rock a big Leela James type fro (back in high school & shortly after), so I'd quickly tame it down, lol.

That had more to do with family running their mouths, "what you gonna do with your hair," etc. making me feel ashamed, than anything else. The last 5-6 yrs I've adopted the "I could care less attitude" in regards to their opinions about my hair and also regarding what others have to say (negatively). If it ain't positive, don't even come wit it. Talk to the hand otherwise! :hand: LMAO

OP, your hair is gorgeous, and if it was me, I'd rock it proudly...product free, untamed, and all!

Wooo chile... your hair is gorgeous!
I occasionally feel intimidated by my big hair but it's rare and the frequency of episodes is growing farther apart. you're hair grew really fast!

It's gorgeous girl!!! Congrats on APL too!

I know how you feel though.. so far my fluffy twistouts and bigger hair styles have been reserved for vacations - partially because of the cold weather in England, and also because I usually don't like the amount of attention (although positive) my out, big hair draws. I'll get over it at some point.

OP your hair beautiful....  :infatuated:....... My hair dreams of being like yours when in grows up :cloud9:

Be proud of all that bodaciousness...... My hair wants to be as bada*s as yours !!!

Rock that Afro loud and proud. Btw is your hair in the big bodacious thread???

:pant: that is some BEAUTIFUL HAIR!!!

For the longest now, I have always wanted big, natural hair. Now that I have it, I'm really scared and intimidated by it. Today I went to school w/ a braid-out done on flat ironed hair and I felt uneasy about showcasing my big hair ( it got bigger and bigger as the day progressed) to the world. I did receive compliments but I still felt self conscious. I can't imagine how big my hair will be when my hair get longer. I feel like cutting my hair so I can wear my cute wash n go again when my hair was a little shorter.

Wash n go from August

Has anyone felt this way?

In other news, I reached 2 years post relaxer this past Saturday and I'm currently apl.

I love it! Idk, it may take some getting used to, but I take it as a compliment when someone calls me Chaka or Diana :look:

i love your big beautiful hair. If you want, i can hold on to it for you until you get over your shyness :lachen:

Girl, you better stop! My SO is tapping his toes, waiting around for my hair to look big and bodacious like that and you’re complaining!!! It’s gorgeous although I understand the being shy part cos I’m like that too. Enjoy it!!!! :)

Now that's how I want my hair to look when it starts getting big!

I can admit that I will probably feel a little uneasy at first but I'll get over it! Big hair is beautiful

Nice bush you have there. If you are not used to lots of attention hair or style wise I guess it can be a tad unsettling. I laughed so hard at the Diana Ross. Statement.

lol girl please, we can switch and you can have my thin and flat hair if you'd like, your hair is gorg, everyone might be staring, but its because they're admiring.

I totally understand where you are coming from. That's why I wear my hair straight most of the time. I just haven't figured out what to do with all of this hair. Wait until yours gets longer...

BHS (Big Hair Stan) here

I LOVE your hair! Don't be intimidated by it because it looks great.

I can't wait for my hair to get big.

Girl you crazy!!!! I lUVS that hair, and when mine get that big i will rock the mess out of it... your hair is the biz-ness !!!
