Old Fashion state board haircut *pics*

I have been whining about my hair for a month now.
I am a slow grower but i always show progress every three months.

then december hit and my hair length didn't change. Then thanks to a post from BlackMasterpiece about LongHairDon'tCare, I cornrowed my hair
with the intention of keeping it that way for a month.

WELLLLL after 8 days i wanted to see if my hair had past collarbone length, to my horror i discovered my hair was an inch shorter than it was 8 days ago.

It freaked me out, I decided to take the braids out, wash and flat iron my hair and cut it. I felt like the bad ends were choking my other wise healthy hair.

So I went to sally's and bought the nicest sissors 20 bucks could buy.
Came home and did the old skool state board sections for a hair cut. and proceeded to chop away.

I thought I would be sad to have to cut my hair but with each snip I felt better and better like I was finally doing the right thing for my hair
So now hopefully Prayfully my ends with stop disappearing

I am going to put my hair back in braids and try my best to at least go two weeks before I touch it this time

So below are the pics as promised, the last one is me being silly testing out my swangablilty. Oh and i straighten with a maxiglide xp

Yes ma'am i am trying to decide how I want to braid. I am think of braiding it towards the crown of my head to make it easy to bun

I made sure to make the bangs even and the edges. I didn't concdern myself with making the crown even because my hair will be braided for most of the year, but i didn't go crazy lol

I'm glad you said this...most of us here want to retain as much length as possible and see scissors = lost hair, but in reality sometimes it's the best thing we can do for our hair to move forward. Thanks for sharing.
