What is the benefit?....when should it be used?...what kind (grade)?...how much?...and mixed with what?...TIA

Sorry I've never measured how much (I don't measure anything), but I add it to my dc & henna treatments.

ETA: I use the Costco stuff. For me, honey moisturizes.

Honey & Olive Oil Hair Mask

Mix 1/2 cup honey and 3 tablespoons olive oil. Work a small amount at a time through hair until coated. Cover hair with a shower cap; leave on 30 minutes. Shampoo well and rinse.

Ooo! Thank You Sooo Much, My Friend and I were just looking for information on both these topics! :yep:

Honey is a humectant which means it attracts water. I typically mix it in with my deep conditioners if I'm DCing on wet or damp hair. The result is usually a lot of softness, shine and the hair feels and stays moisturized longer. You can use it by itself as a pre-poo or I've found it even helps slick down edges. Honey is a staple for me. I've also heard it's good for the skin.

I use honey in my summer leave-in mixture of water, coconut and castor oils, and honey.

I also use honey on my face.

I use the regular brand from the supermarket.

Ive been using the raw organic brand. Have everyone found that the regular works just as good. If so, I'm switching this weekend! I'm out of that along with a couple of other things and needed to stock up.

Regular honey works just fine.
I use it when I do my DCs.

I've recently re-incorporated honey back into my reggie and let me tell you honey, HONEY is the ISH! I use it in my DC's by mixing it with my favorite moisturizing condish, (right now its aussie moist or Lustrasilk Shea butter cholesterol)some ORS replenishing or ORS hair mayo..or Suave damage care and some EVOO and my hair has been soooo soft..its made a world of difference. I don't know what I was doing before but it definitely works. I love it! :love3:
