I know there must be some people in the industry on this board. From my minimal sense of that scene (through friends who are performers), I think it is unlikely that is her hair, even if her real hair is that long and thick. I hear that it is so hard to maintain healthy hair with the lights, constant styling, sweating, etc., that people who want to keep their hair just weave it up. A friend of mine who has recently become popular as a singer got her first weave in life in 2009. She always had long and thick hair but in the first year of touring it all broke off.

I just saw a recent interview with her. Her hair was much longer than before and looked great. But it didn't look like the first picture posted. I think they just added a bit of hair. It looks great though.

I'm glad this thread was started. Sort of a newbie, but I couldn't resist replying! I was obsessing over her hair when I saw her on the cover of Billboard. Can a 4A relaxed head achieve that look and how? I don't know if a braid out would work.
