I have watched a couple of her videos "curly fro" tutorial to name one....It seems that if she relaxed her hair it would be longer than this. It doesn't look relaxed and the ends look fried. When I flat iron my hair it gets straighter than that. I think this might be a hoax. If she wanted to show how to transition, why didn't she just use a volunteer with already relaxed hair?

Oh man, I thought I was the only one thinking this. Her relaxed hair seems to be the very EXACT length of her fro. That's not possible is it? And by the looks of her ends, it's apparent that she didn't do any type of major cutting.

I agree with you ladies. Her hair looks horrible. If she is boasting about 24inch hair, why isn't hers? If I am going to buy your product, I need your hair to look like something first.

...that's EXACTLY what my relaxed hair looked like before i started my hair journey. puffy & stiff with frizzy ends. plus this was a virgin relaxer & she's a trichologist ... i highly doubt her intention was to process bone straight.

but then again she very well may have pressed it. time will tell. i won't be buying her products but i may try & tune in for her weekly updates after a month or two.

have we forgotten that not everyone has perfect ends? & that not every relaxed head has perfect swingy straightness? y'all must've been on LHCF too long!

i will say this though. to create that much buzz over a relaxer... she should have gotten it professionally done, trimmed, & styled. it really ought to look more polished than it does based on how she hyped up her "big relax".

I wonder. I know of two folks that had natural hair and then relaxed, bubblingbrwnsuga and then caisha, creator of boundless tresses. Gorgeous natural hair AND gorgeous relaxed hair and neither of them are doctors.

So how is she a doctor and um....specializing in this area and her hair looks like that? Nahh, wouldn't be following her!

also Crackers phinn/jcoily

Good point! LHCF has us all spoiled. IRL, I see more relaxed heads that look like hers than ones that look like the heads here. She did her own too, which left even more room for error.

This doesn't look like a relaxer at all!! I went to her for hair treatments years ago and paid out the *** for the same info that I get here.

I must say that her moisturizer is wonderful tho!

its not even that to me. For someone claiming to be an expert on hair and will help you grow your hair loooong..umm i expect her hair to look a lil better then that. ends on point, longer, etc.
now for the regular average person..hey thats okay..but a hair doctor expert charging $20 a month etc......well....:look:.

PREACH!:yep::yep::lachen:

She put up another testimonial video and all I can say is oh my damn.
FYI - I'm talking about this womans hair and nothing else.

The woman in the testimonials hair looks very similar to the doctors. So it seems that it's the products that are giving the hair the weighted down, dullish, unmoving look.

OMG you guys have me CRYING! LMFAO!!!

Glad I'm not her. Lisa if you're reading this, if you pay me $20 and throw in a bag of conditioners I will show YOU how to grow 24 inches of herr

True, but (and I had to look up trichologist:lol:) she's a scalp/hair health expert, not a hairdresser. So she might not know much about actually doing hair. Like, a dermatologist be an expert at keeping skin healthy and glowing, but they may suck at applying makeup. That's not the best analogy, I know.

When I saw her fro yesterday I didn't think it looked all that hot. But again, LHCF naturals tend to set the bar mighty high.

The good doctor should shave her head so we can see her impressive scalp. :look: Maybe that would give some satisfaction.

IA with some ladies on here, her hair does not look relax. I relax my hair myself and it looks better than that. I am sorry but I would not listen to her.

LMBAO!!!!!!:lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen: was that meant to be funny? cause its 1:30 am and I was laughing out loud waking uo neighbors.

I think someone on here said they had a family member that went to her and she actually did thier hair. So she may be a scalp doctor, but she is definitely dabbling in cosmetology.

And that was a perfect analogy.

i think i was the first to call her dumb...... sooo. i know i wouldnt have changed my hair for nobody on earth.
i was expecting better results. it dont look all that healthy to me.

lol @ some of the comments on youtube.
its funny how quickly some people forget how their hair used to look before they stumbled across sites like bhm or lhcf.
:ohwell:

I don't know about anyone else but my hair wasn't looking all busted and chewed up before I found lhcf, really lhcf hasn't taught me all that much regarding my hair...

i agree not to be mean but it looks like crap. maybe she should've found a willing hair model to do this experiment on instead of doing it on herself. oh well best wishes I guess.

Yesterday was the first time I've heard of this youtuber.
After seeing her 'fro and knowing she calls herself the hair doctor, I am a little dissapointed at what her relaxed hair looks like. It's pretty much lifeless and dull. Was that intentional?

I do think this whole stunt is awesome advertising and marketing for her products cause we know there are transitioners out there who will be purchasing what she's using and recommending as she transitions.

But because she does sell hair products and deems herself the hair doctor, I still expected her relaxed hair to be trimmed, silky and healthy looking.

Big Relax, Be Reveal, she did it alright, Big Deal! Sometimes you get to pick sense out of nonsense, but with this vid, I dunno...:look:

I think this was a bad idea and it backfired big time. IMO it made no sense to perm her hair only to transition right after. That was a major decision and for someone that calls their self the "hair doctor"...you would think that she would he included the actual footage of said relaxer.

Truth be told...who's to say she really has a relaxer? Then for her to go through all that and act like she didn't like it on camera????? WTF...THIS WAS HER IDEA! She should have kept those feelings on ice until se was done taping and that may have helps folks feel a little more comfortable with what she is attempting to do.

Horrible results.Silly idea.Questionable channel. Needless to say I won't be following.

some years ago, i would have thought her hair was nice, but knowing what i know now about hair. i know what healthy hair looks like and it dont look like hers. she needs some aphogee and a Moisturizing DC. and a trim wont hurt.
