I used to use this wayyyyy back when I first went natural and from I recall, I liked it alot. But I can't remember why I stopped using it!

Anyone here using it now? If so are you relaxed or natural, and how do you like it?

I'm natural and I use it when i straigten as a moistuizer.. it leaves my hair not greasy or weighed down

I use it and I currently love it as a gel replacement :/

But if Im not mistaken sometimes it depends on which ones you buy. A few years ago I bought one that was just not in the same consistency as it should.

Im relaxed...

I use it to do twists and as a moisturizer for two and three day old twist outs and curly fros. I am natural

I use it when I'm wearing a fro to rebraid the hair at night. Leaves my hair ultra soft when I'm wearing it.

I couldn't decide between the Elasta QP Mango Butter or the Profective anti break leave in. So I bought them both. I have officially become a pj :lachen:
Lovin' it though! Only thing is now I have to remember to use one thing at a time so that I can figure out what's working and what's not. :perplexed

my relaxed hair didnt like it. i bought the new and improved one for my natural hair but never used it.

It's the one thing beside aloe vera gel and coconut oil that doesn't cause it to revert.. i know its weird

I love Mango Butter. I'm texlaxed. My natural hair loved it too. I have fine strands and a little goes a long way. The smell is very nice. The consistency is thick. It makes the hair VERY soft. I use it as a moisturizer, usually for braid outs, bantu knot outs, twist outs, etc., things of that nature. It doesn't dry my hair out and it's very reasonably priced. The only thing is though that I think the new owners of Elasta QP might have changed or will be changing the original formula. Not sure though. I know they changed DPR.

Ingredients: Aqua(purified water), squalane(olive oil derived), caprylic/capric triglyceride(coconut oil derived), peg-75 lanolin, behntrimonium methosulfate, hexadecanol, cetearyl alcohol, ceterareth-20, dimethicone, phenyl trimethicone, mangifera indica (MANG0) seed butter, theobroma cacao (COCOA) seed butter, hydrolyzed silk, serica, methylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben, fragrance, fd&c yellow no.5 (CI 19140)

ETA: It doesn't revert my hair, and it's very useful for slicking down edges and whatnot.

I'm relaxed. I use it, I love it. It's great for slicking up do's and moisturizing my ends. I use it sparingly.

hated it. i'm natural. i threw it away. won't try again.

:lachen: I thought of this:

I use it when I'm further on in my stretch and need a deep penetrating moisturizer for my NG. I use it when I'm doing a bantu knot set and seal with argon or coconut oil.

What da... You coulda given that to me!!! Lettin good product go to waste when there's broke PJs in the world! :lachen:

I love mango butter. I'm transitioning and use it on my ends when I'm doing braidouts, twist outs, or flexirod sets and on my nape and edges when I'm bunning.

I have used this recently. I am going from relaxed to texturized hair and it was alright....I wasn't really wowed by it.

I'm relaxed and I rotate between Mango Butter and Hairveda Whipped Cream as my moisturizers/edge smoothers, sealed with coconut oil :yep:

I'm natural now, but I used it when I was relaxed and my hair absolutely LOVED it.
I used it primarily for rollersets and laying down my edges, but it only really worked best on damp or wet hair. It got pretty flaky and gross when I tried using it on dry hair as a regular moisturizer.

The only downside was that it was extremely hard to find in BSS around my area... I've since switched to Hawaiian Silky 14n1 as a moisturizer.

love this product, one of my staples!
i'm relaxed and my hair loves mango butter.
i use it as an everyday moisurizer when my hair isn't in braids.
great texture, great smell, great results!

Relaxed/Texlaxed. I use it on my edges from time to time. I like the old formula way better than the new!

This stuff has my ends thriving. I can't use it anywhere else on my head (protein sensitive) and seal with castor oil.
