More than getting it to stay, i want to know how to acheive these curls. I customed ordered a wig made in the exact style as the picture im about to show you. The only problem is the hair is going to be virgin Malaysian and the girl said i will have to just curl the hair myself. I dont know how to style hair!

Im a simple girl with simple hair, but i originally found this wig on another site and on the other site & they said the unit would come styled like this and i could straighten it if i wanted, but it would curl back up when wet. Well that was perfect for me, but then you ladies on LHCF told me to make sure the company i bought the wig from was reputible. Well i could find any information on this company, so i decided to go with a reputable company recommended on BHM.

I am going to Europe for the winter, so i want to get everything i need for the curls now while i am in the US still. I also wanted my hair to be curly when i get off the plane. Anyways here is a few pictures of the exact style i want. Please help :perplexed

Also, can someone give me advice on how to care for this unit? Will curling it be damaging to it or are there steps i can take to make sure it is not damaging?

When you receive the lacefront wig I think you should experiment with installing it on your head and once you get that done in a manner you are happy with you should go to a professional to cut and style it while it is on your head so that the hair falls right and frames your face suitably.

That is what I would do.

I don't know much about care of the LF but BHM has got a whole forum dedicated to LFs and you should get some great tips there.

Well they are going to make the Unit just like in the picture, but you dont think i should have the company that is making it style and cut it? Because i have that option. I dont understand how they are going to make the unit i order exactly like its in the picture if they dont cut and style it themselves.

And anyways when the hair is cut and styled at the salon, i still wont know how to curl it like this myself. I guess i was really just looking for advice on how to acheive these curls on my ie, do i use big rollers, a curling iron or what? Do i put stuff in it to hold the curls etc etc. So any advice on those questions is greatly appreciated, as well as any other advice someone may have.

How will they style and cut it right if they don't know your face shape, length of your face, neck etc..?

Even if they do it I suspect you'd have to tweak it more for it to look right.

Also if your unit is made of human hair, they really cannot make the curls stick. It will behave just like human hair and at some point the curls fall and you have to restyle.

Once you get the unit you will be able to experiment on the hair in eg curl formers, curling irons etc
If its 100% human hair then you can apply heat and all that.

But like I said, for real expert advice BHM is the go-to site!

The style you posted is really cute!

I'm such a lame, I can never really tell wigs/weaves/lacefronts.

I agree with Angenoir, you should have your stylist fit it to frame your face for the best look.

Yeah but im not going to go to the stylist everyday when im in Europe. I want to know how to do it myself. But i cant do hair thats why i was asking for advice. Obviously its a curling iron or those curler things i need to use but i dont know what size it nor do i know how to make the curls stay. I read somewhere its hard to get the curls to stay.

And i cant post on BHM for some reason its saying my email is blocked which i dont see why as i have never been on there before.

I have curled weaves like this, several times.

You're gonna need 3'4 inch or 1 inch curling irons to achieve this. They are a combination of "Farrah Fawcett" direction curls and just regular curls. After you get it trimmed to fit your face (make sure they leave the front facial area long, dont let them cut your bangs too short) use the irons to add several curls in a spiral direction and loosen them with your fingers. With the front part you want to curl AWAY from your face. The smaller iron will give you tighter curls. You can use a bigger curling iron to bump the crown area to make it fuller.

SalonCabelo on youtube has a really great tutorial you can use to do the front.

My old siggy has my weave stylist with a similar technique

Thank you SO much Nichi and Desirae! This is EXACTLY what i was looking for! Ill try it as soon as i get the unit! So the one inch curling iron will make these curls? Cool. What about roller sets or whatever? Will they do the same? Anyone know of anything i can use to make the curls stay other than hairspray? I paid a lot of money for this unit and i dont really want to ruin it with hairspray. But maybe i am asking for too much and maybe i have to use hairspay. Anywayst than you so much!

you're welcome.

I dont think I'd use hairspray personally, since it's not YOUR hair, i'd just redo it with the irons as needed. The smaller curling irons will create a tighter curl so they'll stay for a while.

I also don't think I'd try a rollerset, I think that may not get the same look plus it's something that takes too long to do considering it's not your hair.

Yeah its not my hair, but im still paying over a grand for this unit and it is human hair, so i dont want to ruin it with heat and i dont want to curl it over and over. More than that, i wanna look nice, so if it take time i dont care as long as i look good. When your in another country you should be on your best behavior and look your best. Especially in France. Its insulting to Parisians if people dont make an effort to look good. They all look like a million bucks ALL the time and i mean EVERYONE. Even the children lol.

I think i read that some units dont keep curls well, so if there is something i can use to keep the curls longer when i do curl it, that would be cool. I just hate hair spray:ohwell:
