In reference to this thread http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?t=417908&highlight= I got my hair relaxed at the shop. My stylist was not even going to cut my hair and I asked for a "V" below my shoulders. She relaxed me with Influence Lye with Shea Butter. I really like this relaxer, it def doesn't get my hair as stick straight as nairobi, but me likey. Well, I told my stylist to give me 5 big cornrows so that I could rock a braid out, but I actually did this so I could style my hair myself! LOL I came home and immediately let neutralizer sit on my hair for 5 min. I then I used the aphogee line on my hair and straightened. I really liked it! Well, I took these pics today, so these pics are of day 4 hair. Anywhoo here are the results!

Obviously I missed my mark LOL

Thanks! I like your hair too!

That was the number 1 reason. I also cut it because it was sooooo over-moisturized. I was doing too much to it (trying everything I read on here lol) so it was just blah to me. I was also getting super obsessed with hair so it was like an "in your face" to myself, to show it's only hair. Do I sound like a nutcase?:spinning: lol

I love it though!

It looks really cute. Looking at your cut, I think I might go about that length when I cut mine.

Very pretty sweetie! Do you mind me asking how straight the Influence relaxer got your hair?
tia,
tishee

I was 3.5 months post when I relaxed. When I styled my hair, I noticed I still had some texture. Usually nairobi would get me about 95 percent straight. This got me about 80 percent in a lot of areas. With nairobi and influence I use regular.

I honestly think this relaxer would be a great choice for a telax. It's probably the shea that slows the processing some.

Your hair is pretty!!! and it looks really healthy and thick.

How long did your hair used to grow b4 LHCF??

Definitely not what I am looking for then....thanks so, so much for responding shtow. I will go with the Mizani lye for my touch up in December. I am looking for bone straight results.

Why did you cut your hair? It appeared very healthy in the first picture.

Style was the number 1 reason. I also cut it because it was over-moisturized and had previously been over processed so it was a little uneven (but workable). I was doing too much to it (trying everything I read on here lol) so it was just blah to me. I was also getting super obsessed with hair so it was like an "in your face" to myself, to show it's only hair and to stop making everything about hair!

Did I miss something? I don't see any pictures, but you hair SOUNDS beautiful based on the replies/reactions

I agree, you and your hair are very pretty. I like the cut.

I like how you "dodged" the stylist from doing your hair.

Oh okay, thanks for explaining and I so feel your reasons! Hair length obsession is for the birds- healthy hair is where it's at!
