I don't mean to hijack, but i bought my girlfriend some shea-co smoothing custard from caramocal-joy.com
it has no water in it, her hair has been crazy shiny ever since (3 days ago). and i was pretty upset with her natural hair upkeep lol. so that stuff must be a miracle lol.

Afroveda Shea Amla is much better.I apologize in advance if this question has already been asked. I was curious as to which one is the better moisturizer for your natural hair? Which one do you like the best? And how long does the moisture last? 2 days, 4 days? A week even? TIA![]()
Oh, I'm getting so confused. I've tried the Karen's Milk and that was just okay for me. I just bought the Qhemet and now I'm wondering about this AfroVeda stuff.
The search for the perfect moisture continues....
Where do you all get these products. I don't recall seeing them at any store. Please do share. Also, where do you get aveda or ayurveda. THere is so much product name dropping I am becoming overwhelmed and confused!
Hello! Where you were referring to the products in my signature? Or just the qhemet and afroveda websites? I've never tried aveda's products before though, although I've seen their ads around sometimes.
I was talking about the products the original poster is referring to: Qhemets, Afroveda...plus Aveda & Ayurveda. The product names all sound alike and I have not seen them in any store. Wondering if I can just walk into a store and try some/maybe buy some-- perhaps avoid the steep shipping costs on prodcuts I know nothing about (and have little faith in - until I can feel it and try it)!

I prefer to buy my hair products in the store, too;but if the product line can't be found in the stores, then I don't mind ordering them.

AOHC hands down, especially in the winter.

I haven't trried qhemet, I felt like it was too expensive. I'm loving the afroveda shea alma..... my hair is moist and I love the earthy smell. i have the 16oz and I know it will last me at least 4-5 months and my natural hair is armpit length. My scalp has has itchy fromt he shift in weather and I use it on my hair and scalp a minimum of 2-3 times a week but i could get away with just using it once.....I love the smell, lol.
bumping... i'm looking for a heavy hittin moisturizer. ♥
