3a/b, just got haircut, need curl activator

Sorry, I never used a curl activator when my hair was short - just water and a good moisturizing conditioner brought my curls to life. Add some extra virgin coconut oil and I think you might be alright.

I would try to use Wet n Wavy Wet Gel or Leave-In Conditioner by Bonfi Natural. You can get this at any neighborhood hair store. This is for synthetic and natural hair weaves. Don't let that scare you! My hair is not weaved and I use it all the time. This will help put some curl "back" in your hair until it grows out the way that you want it to. Also you can try Glossing Polish by Proclaim [Sally's]. Hope this helps

I've heard good things about Long Aid acvtivator gel, but I have not tried it myself. Fantasia IC gel with sparkle lights is good, just make sure to add some oil or conditioner underneath it.

I love Kinky Kurly Curling Custard, because it's all natural with a little conditioner (and castor oil, you may not need this) underneath. Jason hair gel is also nice, with mostly natural ingredients.

I'm a 4a, but I use Long Aid regular CAG, because it doesn't have proplene glychol, which my hair hates as a main product ingredient. Sometimes I doctor it up with other ingredients, but it's just fine by itself too. I tend to avoid products that I can't get at a B&M store.

I use Long Aid also, but I'm thinking for 3a/b texture it might be too heavy--I think a curl activator gel would be too heavy for this texture period, imo.

My mom is a 3a texture and she uses Tresemme mouse for curly hair, or she'll use a leave-in--anything curl activator-ish leaves her hair too limp.

Hawiian Silky 14-1 or Lacio Lacio Leave in...maybe dilute it with a lil water if its too heavy... And my mom used to use regular old Wave Nouveau when she BC'd to 2in and she has the same hair type as you....Now that I think about it she also used this: http://www.salonsavings.com/sebastian-wet-form-gel-discontinued-85-floz/sebastian/. It also depends on if you are looking for a gel based, butter, or water based product:yep:. I've heard Miss Jessie's Curly Meringue is good for your texture. I'm a relaxed 4 and the Buttercreme works best for me. At the end of the day, I think you could get away with plane old gel and water, as long as your hair is moisturized well first.
