I was a little nervous, but after completing the process, I was pleasantly surprised. Here are some photos of what my hair looked like through the process.

Freshly Washed Hair:

Detangled With Brush. Shinkage!

Flat ironed and trimmed my hair:

Wrapped my hair for the night:

Did you do it without blowdrying? Looks really nice. Hopefully it'll last the two weeks they advertise.

Nice hair, so smooth and shiny! I've never tried this line but will have to consider it for times that I flat iron.

Your hair looks great! I may try this! I'm so close to relaxing and I am trying to talk myself out of it. My hair hates the humidity!!!

Wonderful! This press looks like a silky smooth perm. Looks great..let us know how long it lasts!
Had to come back in here to say your DD is the cutest thing eva, love how she's showing off her pretty head of hair. Is she natural too?

Your hair looks great. What flat iron do you use?

Is this sorta like the Brazilian Keratin Treatment? How long does it last?

OMG your daughter is so adorable!

It is a Mizani system: Shampoo, conditioner, serum and (optional) spritz. It lasts until your next shampoo. It just helps manageability and heat protection for blowdrying and flatironing. Seems to give excellent results to naturals and relaxed heads.

I used a blow dryer after washing my hair. I'm in FL, so I will see if it lasts.

Thank you, yes DD is natural. You can check out these links. You can see her hair in it's natural state. Depending on how it works for me, I may try it on my DD, if I ever decide to tackle that task again.:ohwell:

Does this work with roller sets?

Yes, it does work on rollersets.

So far so good ladies. I was a little heavy handed with the serum. I was so nervous because I want to make sure my curls come back. Last night I put my hair up in a high ponytail, and rolled approx. 6 sections using my satin cover sponge rollers. It came out looking cute and my hair is still straight.

So I wrote to Mizani earlier today about using roller sets to straighten hair with Thermasmooth and here's their response:

Thank you for your interest in Thermasmooth System.

In order to get a smooth result, it is recommended to use a flat iron or a hot comb when using the Thermasmooth System.

Thank you for choosing Mizani. We hope this information is helpful.

But I'm stubborn plus I don't like the look I get from flat-ironing and hot combs, so may try with a roller set anyway.

Thanks for checking Miss Tress I was hoping for an answer on the roller setting. Keep us posted how you like the Thermasmooth with roller setting. I was really interested in trying this.

I'm pretty sure it works with roller sets-- I haven't tried it that way, so I dont know if it comes out as sleek and straight as it would if you were to use a flat iron/blow dryer/hot comb. There are some products (i.e, Kerastase Ciment Thermique) that advise using a hot tool to "activate" the product and allow it to give you the results they claim. That shouldn't exclude rollersets, even though you wouldn't be using direct heat.

Today I had a couple of people ask me why did I decide to perm my hair? I was like I haven't permed my hair. They were surprised with the results and so am I. My hair is alot straighter than when I used Sabino.:drunk:

I had my hair straightened at a salon a few weeks ago. She used the entire system. It really works well. Good to see you can duplicate results at home.
