Well ladies, by faith in two years after I graduate I'll be able to afford one of these! I'm so looking forward. Right now all I have is a Sally's brand, and it does what it can. Thank you for all these raves, I'll be saving up for an FHI. It'll make a good graduation present too!

Hey there, which Sally's one do you have? There was a thread last year about the Sally's generic value iron actually being the FHI 207RVI. Like the same manufactured model with different names. Check it out:

That being said, I have the FHI and a Croc. My FHI is nice but I  my Croc2.

Really?!!! Awesome! I love the Sally's GVP line. The one I have now is not a GVP, and the words rubbed off so I have no idea what brand it is. It does okay though. I don't use the highest setting, and I use the GVP Silk Infusion with it to get the look for less.

Man... there are no words. Ok, well maybe a few :look:

My Croc gets my hair silky straight on 370 with one pass. I do not have to wipe the plates down with alcohol during the flat iron like I do my FHI. I do have a BKT but my FHI never got my hair silky straight, even fresh after a treatment. My Croc, however, got my hair silky straight 2 months after my last BKT on 70 degrees lower temp than my FHI. I love this thing. It makes my hair look relaxed when I haven't had a relaxer in 15 years.

Perks; it's digital and finds the set temp in seconds. There's a little flashing indicator that lets you know it's getting there and the whole time it counts up until it hits the temp you set it to.

I don't wear my hair straight often. But I plan on being a straight natural once I get to my length goals. Rollersets and my Croc should make that a breeze.
