So I started this hair journey on October 08, although I didn't get to officially start until December 08. But all in all I think I have good progress. Looking back at my picture, not only have I retained length but my hair has also gotten much thicker. I am very happy with my progress even though it is only a little past SL. I hope to one day have hair as long as the hair divas on here. For now that is only a dream. But I am very satisfied with what I have done. Today I relaxed after over 12 weeks. I also had my first good rollerset. All my others turned out like ham, and I ended up having to flat iron. I believe the main reason is because this is my first time using Fantasia Liquid Mousse ProVitamin Wrapping Lotion. So this will be a staple from now on.

I would like to say Thanks LHCF, and thanks to all the hair bloggers (traycee, sunshine and etc), and all the people who share their fotkis and regimens! :yep:

Here is my starting point Oct 08.

Today again (Oct 09, 1 year from start) after roller set and silk wrap. I think it looks pretty good considering I didn't flat iron or blow dry. Keeping heat to a minimum.

Niice progress!!! It looks so shiny, bouncy, and healthy, in addition to the length.

What's your regimen?

And how many weeks post were you in the braidout pic? I almost thought you were natural for a sec .

And I'm definitely going to try that Fantasia wrapping mousse :yep:. I tried a Fantasia Reconstructor today that was excellent, so I'm looking forward to their mousse.

Honey I should be asking you (you can share yours too if you don't mind). Your hair looks lovely in your siggy. :yep:

I was about 10weeks post, in the picture. Since stretching my relaxers no longer get bone straight (I believe because I am no longer overlapping), even though I leave it on for 22 mins. I use mild though. I like it though.

As for my regimen...

During the spring/summer I cowashed every 2-3 days. Now only 1x a week. (Too cold here to do it that much).
I clarify once a month with ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo. (the only thing I use with sulfate in it).
I use a homemade mix of Dr. Bronners Tea tree, my favorite oils, and distilled water. Whenever I need a good cleanse, but don't want to clarify.
I mostly use the elasta QP creme conditioning shampoo. I shampoo as needed. So I mostly cowash.
I Deep condition every time I wash, and depending on what I need it's either protein or moisturizing. It's usually protein once a week, with the rest being moisturizing.
I mainly use oils for moisturizing (a mixture of my favorite oils again). I start to use ORS carrot oil mositurizer when the new growth starts coming in.
I put castor oil on my scalp for growth and thickening.
I use LTR leave in for braidouts and curly styles.
And the elasta qp leave in for straight styles.
I love my hair steamer, I use it once a week and I highly recommend it. Hair Steamer Discount
I also do cholesterol preepoos when needed and I do honey prepoos from time to time as well.

 Thaaaaank you! That was my first hair e-compliment ever.

What are you using to deep condition?

What type of relaxer do you use?

My reggie is somewhat simple (I think lol)

I shampoo/reconstruct/DC once per week

Shampoos in rotation are CON (green) and Redken Real Control (I use one shampoo weekly)

Reconstructor Aphogee 2 minute (weekly) or Nexxus Emergencee (I only use this every 4 weeks)

DCs in rotation are ORS Replenishing and SE Silk Elements Megasilk Moisturizing Treatment

I alternate w/ Nexxus Humectress and Lacio Lacio leave-in

I set with Keracare Setting Lotion

Then rollerset and go up under the dryer.

I relax every 8 weeks w/ ORS No-Lye but I'm thinking about switching to a Lye Relaxer (Silk Elements or Affirm).

Also, I clarify once a month using Suave Daily Clarifying.

Today I used Fantasia IC Reconstructor for the first time, but normally I use Aphogee. I just wanted to try something different. I really like it :yep:. I'm gonna use it a few more times before I know for sure but I'm pretty sure this is going to replace the Aphogee in my regimen.

Also, I have some Joico K pak products that I bought but I haven't used them yet. Can't wait.

But

Your welcome. :)

I use the same DC's as you. I love ORS and Silk Elements. I use lekair for my cholesterols.

For relaxer I use silk elements lye mild.

I just ran out of the aphogee, so I was wanting to try something new. Is the Fantasia to replace the aphogee 2 min. If so I want to try that.

I just ran out of LTR to, and was thinking of trying something new. but I love LTR for braid outs and etc, so I am scared.

Switching to lye relaxer was the best thing for me. Hopefully you will like it as well.

If you Like CON I think you will like the elasta QP conditioning creme shampoo. It's sulfate free and it's ph balancer. I liked it better.

Okay, funny that's the same SE relaxer I was thinking of trying...the Mild assuming you meant the one with Shea Butter.

And yep, the Fantasia is to replace the Aphogee 2 minute. It's lovely. If you try it, please let me know how you like it. I purchased two packs initially because I wasn't sure if I would like it. I'm going to have to purchase a bottle though because I liked it so much. The ingredients are great, it smells good, and I could immediately feel the difference in my hair. :yep:

And, yep the Elasta QP Creme Conditioning poo is on my list to try. It's just when they changed the CON green old formula, I ran out and bought liters, so now I'm trying to use it up. :lachen:

No I bought the tub of relaxer before they came out with the shea (unless they just didn't have in the store), once I use this up I will try that one.

And I will definitely try the fantasia. Does it make your hair soft as well as strong? I plan on going to sally's tomorrow to get some more stuff. And I will let you know what I think.

And I remember everyone going out to buy the old CON before it was gone.

I would say it makes my hair stronger. Soft, not so much but not hard either, just stronger. To me it works more like the original Aphogee 2 minute formula used to work, before they changed it.

Which makes it softer? If it's harder than aphogee, then I probably can't get it. because even aphogee can be to hard for my hair sometimes. But if it softer yet still makes it strong then it would be perfect.
