I've Been Thinking with all this talk about "Wanting" Stuff...But Honestly What Do you Need and Why Do you Need it?

I keep thinking I need a Set of Petite Caruso Rollers, so I won't have to rely on the Curling Iron So Much.

So...Ladies...Think About ItWhat Do You Need and Why Do You Need it?:look:

What: Denman Brush
Why: Too many shed hairs around my tub and no place to collect em or put up once they are in my hand. Denman Brush would catch the shed hairs and I can collect them from the brush at the end of my detangling session making clean up much much easier.

I Dare you sound like my DH this is what I told him.

Me: "I Need an FHI Runway."

DH: "Why?"

Me: "Because I do..."

that is all:look:

What; Natural MBL
Why; Because its my goal and I want it :cry3: I’ve already imagined myself with MBL hair and I have so many pretty styles that we can do together :look:.
Ok, on a serious note, I am very happy that finally, I shall not be needing anything (appliances or products) for a very long time as i'm well stocked.

I need a heat cap so i can make my DC, and also need conditioners to my hair type.

i dont NEED anything. i have tons of shampoos, conditioners, deep treats, butters , moisturizers, leave ins and everything in between. as far as tools go, i dont use direct heat but if i wanted to i have an FHI and a CHI. i have 3 blow dryers, denman, wide tooth comb ect....

i want a steamer but i dont think i need it because i have a heat cap and a bonnet dryer i dont use. so i can honestly say i dont need anything.

A STEAMER!!!

Explanations are in those steaming threads...

I could use some storage stuff too.. just to be organized

At first I thought that I didn't 'NEED" anything and that I only "WANT" a lotta stuff:grin:, but I thought about it some more and relaized that I could definitely use a seamless detangling comb, not necessarily a Mason Pearson, but a great seamless one would be wonderful.

I need it because I hate my hair being caught up in the seams of a comb especially since I'm doing this deep long relaxer stretch:yep:.

oh ok i lied, i didnt see the poll for the towels and gears. i def. need one of those towels to dry my hair. infact, im looking at the curls like us and curl ease towels. and i would LOVE some hair wraps. actually i might look into buying some fabric and learn how to make a head wrap instead of always wearing braids and twists for protective styling.

What: Creamy Moisturizer.
Why: Because after 2 years I still haven't found a creamy moisturizer I'm happy with. I'm thinking of selling off my QB AHC and BRC so I can sample AfroVeda.

What: FHI Runway
Why: So I can finally learn to flat iron and finally rid myself of paying someone else.

What: A Pibbs
Why: Air drying works best for me with twist/bantu knot outs but not air drying straight hair. I'm now rollersetting twice a week and it takes well over a hour to dry and it does not dry evenly.

thanx aggie, now i realize i need a seamless comb. i mean i only comb my hair in the shower but still....and when i do twists i use my fingers but still.....so i might pick up a k-cutter comb this weekend.

Could not have said it any more perfectly myself. I don't need a steamer, but I want one. I think I will settle for my bonnet dryer though.

I lied, I lied, I don't need anything at all.
I just gathered up all my hair products, put them together, and took a picture of them....:nono::pullhair::eek2:
I am so horrified with myself...yes sir, I need NOTHING.

Mannn!!! This is sad I checked everything except for nothing!

Well here is what I need:

Stand up dryer and steamer for ultimate moisture and convenience
Products: Still looking for the best leave in/ repair system (organic)
Tools: FHI Blowdryer, FHI Platform or Runway (I can dream)
Supplements: still researching on what works for me

and STORAGE to keep all this stuff.
I rather spend the money to DIY than just benefit myself at the salon

I want to acheive a healthy head of WL hair (never had this length and am up for the challenge)
I want my mother and father and 3 younger sisters to achieve healthy hair with products that won't hurt their health.

So there it's not really for me it's for all of us

I just ordered a horn comb (seamless...it's the same one JustKiya uses) so I will let you all know how it goes.

My most pressing needs I just took care of yesterday.

Hmmmm...what else do I need?

I have been looking into those hair towels...I've been using silk but it can't soak up all the water. So that could be a need. I guess I'm good on everything else.

ETA: Actually, I need a hot air brush thingy that has a cool setting so that I can stretch my hair out on cool. And I need some really good hair scissors because I need to give myself a good trim.

I can't seem to walk away from the debil aka the flat irons. If Ima damage my hair, I might as well do it the RIGHT way and use the best products I can get such as a CHI or FHI instead of that lil Conair I've had since freshman year. BUT I'm on a college budget, I'm too cheap to buy that right now

I also want a Pibbs. My hair is getting a lil longer and the time to sit under the dryer is getting longer and longer sigh. I just can't do it lol

loulou82 have you tried Taliah Waajid Black Earth Products Protective Mist Bodifier? It's like a creamy liquid and smells awesome and has a lot of natural ingredients too and no glycerine. It got raving reviews here on the board. Look for it on www.naturalhair.org.

I need more Hair accessories so my hair can have some extra "pizazz" and make the same style look different.
I need more Shelves/containers to put my stuff in. Its getting kinda crazy with organization, I'm just bunching things together now.

What is a Mason Parson?

You NEED  :giggle: :lachen: a bone or resin comb. Check ebay and search both words for best prices/most selection. They're seamless and wonderful to have because they work well on wet or dry hair.

(Sorry, for encouraging PJism on a rather anti PJ thread )

Thanks a lot jamaraa. I will look those up perhaps tomorrow though, I'm getting really sleepy now.
