Good Morning Ladies!!
I'm having issues with drying my hair. Currently I have a Pink Ion hard bonnet dryer. It is probably about 2 years old. Lately, it has been setting my hair & scalp on fire. It gets so freaking hot that I end up sweating. Even if I place the dryer on "lo heat" I end up sweating. This is not a good look when trying to dry my rollerset or flexirod set. And while it gets hotter than heck, it still takes my hair over one hour to dry. Well, I was thinking of using the cool setting on the dryer, but that takes 3-4 hours for my hair to dry.
While I want to start back rollersetting or using flexirods, I can't stand the heat. I was also thinking of airdrying, but is it possible to retain a smooth silky finish (as I would if I used the hard bonnet) if i airdryed my hair? Or should I go ahead and purchase a new dryer (Sally's is taking $5 off of any new appliance when you give them their old one)?
Also, I will take suggestions for hair dryers and or products that will help me.
Oh, when I set my hair I use Keracare Wrap Lotion (trying to get rid of it) and Joico Split-end mender (trying to get rid of that as well). But I have also used Salerm 21 with Paul Mitchell Serum. I texlaxed in March, but I'm transitioning again so I have like three different textures in my hair right now.
