Its hard for me to believe that sulfates are the only thing that can remove cones.:look: There has got to be something else out there:drunk:
 
I thought baking soda could be used to clarify cones, I may be wrong though. I'm not sure. When I felt like my hair needed some sulfates to get rid of cones I use EQP poo for relaxed hair, it's pretty gentle. It has sodium myreth sulfate.
 
cocamidopropyl betaine and cocobetaine
Most sulfate free shampoos (organix, david babaii...) contain one or both of these. hth

Also, depending on the cone and your particular hair you could still use a conditioner to wash out. I use Aussie Moist which has bis-aminopropyl dimethicone and I've only co-washed. I haven't experienced any buildup at all.
