I am looking for a braider in NYC and found a few on craigslist. I asked them all for photos of their work and this morning I received a message from one braider with 3 photos, 2 of which I recognized immediately as feed in cornrows done by Kristen Lock out of North Carolina.

2 of the 3 photos I received (received by email and not with the link):

They were lifted from Kristen's blog

Watermark your photos!!! There are several FREE downloads to watermark. Google "free watermark photos"

That is a shame. Did you call the craigslist person on their lies?

Re: PSA - People do still steal photos & try to pass them off as their own - Watermar

Absolutely! I replied back and sent her the link to the page from which she lifted the photos. It's so not a good look to send photos of someone else's work...and easily recognizable work at that.

I sent the email to Kristen Lock too.

wow, that is terrible. is this a white lady? if it is she sure looks gorgeous with her hair braided like this.

Re: PSA - People do still steal photos & try to pass them off as their own - Watermar

she looks ok IMO. I don't like the way the braids kinda start, It's still nice work but especially in the back it looks noticable. She looks clear enough to me so clear she is.

She's white. Bone structure of her face, particularly the nose.

And the rows look really good to me. Props to the original braider..boos to the thief. :(

That was gonna be my next question. And how did we go from stolen pics to debating if ol' girl is white or not:lachen:
