I'm looking for ladies that use natural products with wonderful results

I wanna know what products you use?

How have they changed your hair?

How long did you use them for?

And do you see any improvement in areas you had problems in?

I'm really thinking about trying some qhemet biologics OHHB and AO shampoo and conditioners.

T.I.A.

I use shescentit products and some hairveda products and my hair loves them. I have used them for about a year now.
I haven't tried AO or quemet products.
I use the banana brulee and fortifying hair con from shescentit.com and the whipped jelly and whipped cream from hairveda. My hair has gone from SL to past APL in a year.
HTH

I wanna know what products you use?
-Shescentit: Banana Brulee DC, Fortifying Masque, Seyani Butter, Tea Tree Deep Cleansing Shampoo, Coco Creme Leave In.
-Hairveda: Strinillah Masque, Moist 24/7 Conditioner Pro, Whipped Cream, Shikaikai Shampoo Bar.
-Beemine: Strawberry Kiwi Sulfur Scalp Serum

How have they changed your hair?
-They have made my hair extremely healthy especially the DC's, my coarse hair is extremely manageable.

How long did you use them for?
-I've been using them for about 7-8 months.

And do you see any improvement in areas you had problems in?
-My Hair has grown from at the top of NL to almost APL in a year and a few
months.

*I think you should really consider going natural, if its in your budget it can be really beneficial to your hair.*

I am not sure what the exact definition of 'natural' is with regard to products yet. So I hope I am answering correctly.

I am relaxed and started using EVOO mixed in with my DC's. Sometimes my DC's are made by Hairveda and Shescentit.

I also use EVCO, Global Goddess Hair Oil, Vatika Frosting, JBCO, and a whole host of other oils and moisturizers by AfroVeda, HairVeda, Karen's Body Beautiful and Shescentit.

I've been using these type products since the start of the year. Using these types of products has helped my hair tremendously. I am CBL for the first time in my life. My hair isn't perfect but its a whole lot stronger than when I started. My strands were so dry they would snap off in your hand! My hair now retains much more moisture and has much more shine.

I have never tried the brands you listed though, sorry.

I am 6 months post texlax and I use mostly natural products but not those that you have to order because of the inconvenience especially because I live overseas.

I wanna know what products you use? I use Taliah Waajid conditioner and bodifier (as a leave in), coconut oil, and henna. I just bought some fenugreek seed and gotu kola tea so I am looking forward to trying those out and adding them to my reggie.

How have they changed your hair? I used to have really dry hair before I found hair boards and I corrected that with conventional products and slowly transitioned to natural products when I realized that they gave me better, more lasting results. Natural products work so well for me that I don't have to dc or do protein treatments any more.

How long did you use them for? I have been using natural products for about 9 months - I started out with just natural. homemade dc's and change one part of my process at a time.
And do you see any improvement in areas you had problems in? Henna has made my hair super strong and it has a nice smoothness and weight that it didn't have before I started using it. I think that henna is the reason that my hair is so manageable which has helped me stretch for so long (and potentially transition). Henna has also helped me retain moisture for much longer than it ever did which is really great. Natural products really helped simplify my life and if I could find a good natural styling product that wasn't expensive and didn't have to be ordered than I would do it all that way.

Products used:
AO (honeysuckle conditioner)
Millcreek (all conditioners; henna, keratin, aloe vera,)
Curls (asian hair tea conditioner, whipped cream)
Shescentit (banana brulee, fortifying mask, hair mist, jojoba hair milk)
Hairveda (strinilah, moist condition 24/7, shikakai poo)

1) They've changed my hair by giving me more moisture than commercial products. and they do a better job at managing ng than commercial products)
2) I've used them for as long as i've been on my journey
3) My problem areas were probably my ends. They've helped improve them

just to add: My natural products count for maybe 30% of all my products. But I honestly think they do a better job at managing my ng & hydrating my hair. Especially natural DCs

Thanks everyone ...so far i have tried shescentit banana brulee and fortifying masque and they really didnt do anything for my hair i feel like they didnt give me any moisture and the fortifying masque changed my hair color. I wonder if i got those results because i didnt use them with heat.

^^^^ yea hun....do it with heat. I've tried them without and it didn't work either. when it says use with heat......defintely do it

How have they changed your hair?

My hair is very fickle and early on in my journey I noticed it just didnt respond to commercial products. They seemed to sit on top of my hair instead of penetrating it and trust me I tried all the top of the line stuff.

Natural products are the only thing that seem to do the trick. My hair feels moisturized but not greasy. Its given my hair a natural sheen, and my hair feels so silky.

How long did you use them for?

I've been using natural products for around 2 yrs now.

And do you see any improvement in areas you had problems in?

My hair went from dry and brittle to silky strong moisturized and very easy to manage.

Its also completely got rid of my dandruff problem.

I use Qhemet Biologics: AOHC, BRBC, and HO Balm. They keep my hair manageable and moisturized. I especially love AOHC for my NG; I mix it with the HO Balm.

And do you see any improvement in areas you had problems in? My hair and scalp is so much more moisturized than before. My scalp is definitely not flaking like before.

Wanna know what products you use? Hairveda Green Tea Herbal Butter & Sitrillilah DC, shescentit Jillian Tearless Hair Butter, Moisture Mist, & Green Grape Leave-in Condish.

How have they changed your hair? They make my hair very moisturized thus retaining all my length. I've gone from EL to SL in under 4 months. It has been working well for my 3 yr old dd as well. She has gone from NL to APL in 8 months.

How long did you use them for? Since Feb.

And do you see any improvement in areas you had problems in? Yes. My problem was moisture anyway, so they definitely solved it.

I went to vitamin shoppe today
And got A0 HSR shampoo and conditioner and some coconut oil. I fell like now I can have a natural regimen since all you ladies had great results I just gotta find what works best for me.

Do the qhemet biologics stuff really take 2 weeks to get?

I can honestly say that I wish I could go 100% natural. Like, ayurvedic teas to wash, only EVOO to condition, and only EVCO on a daily basis. I might get there one day, but I have to use up my PJ stash first. LoL! But I really think your hair will thrive using the natural stuff. Good luck!

ETA: You got me searching the internet for more natural hair care sources! LoL!! Found this cool site with nice options.

Thanks LB that site does have some intresting things I think I might go natural for a year and just use my other products when I get my touch ups.

Hey Chyna Doll:hiya:

Well....i find that my hair looooves natural products. I moisturize with shea butter mixed with Vatika Oil.

I just started using the Hair One cleanser....don't know if its natural....but its sulfate free:look:

And im planning on ordering some deep conditioner from shescentit.com for the first time next week :)

I find that moisturizing with shea butter really got rid of that dry after feeling i get with otc moisturizers...like pink lotion...etc.

Yes I've switched over to more natural products over time and have seen greater results. Right now my main staples are:

Hair One Olive Oil Conditioning Cleanser
Organix Coconut Milk Shampoo (when I feel I need a good deep cleanser, I no longer clarify)
Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
Argon Oil (either straight or in the form of the Moroccan Oil Hair Mask DC)

I try to stay away from sulfates, and I haven't used petroleum nor mineral oil based products since the start of my journey. My hair is naturally shiny and rich and color, it's super moisturized, and has thickened up quite a bit.

I wanna know what products you use?

Ayurveda powders: Amla, Hibiscus, Fenugreek, Brahmi, Maka, Shakakai, and Henna

Oils: Vatika, EVCO and CO

Conditioners: J/A/S/O/N Naturals Henna High Lights Conditioner and J/A/S/O/N Naturals Sea Kelp Mositurizing Conditioner

Leave Ins: Giovanni Direct and Yes to Cucumbers

How have they changed your hair? I would say so.
Yes, I can definitely see a difference in my hair now from all the previous years when I was using everything else under the sun.

How long did you use them for?

Ayurveda: I started in Dec. 2008, leave ins: between 5 to 7 months, and Conditioners: 2 months

And do you see any improvement in areas you had problems in?

Yes, my hair is not dry any more. It is strong, and just thriving over all. I limit my use of sulfates to only when I am chelating or neutralizing during touch up time.
I pretty much stay away from mineral oil, petroleum. I limit my useage of cones also. I like a little in my conditioners but not leave ins. They have to be way down on the list for me to use it.

I have to mention that while I like natural products, I don't think I could stray from salon brands...Those also seem to work really well.

Today I washed with AO HSR shampoo and conditioner
So far I don't like the shampoo it left the new growth soft but tangled up the relaxed ends I will try it again next wash to see if I get different results.
I can say I like the conditioner, as soon as I put it on all the tangles melted away and my shower comb glided right through. I'm gonna go under the dryer for 15mins then rinse and do a rollerset.

WELL, I'm new to this game, but I am definitely loving Karen's hair milk! Lots of relaxed heads don't like this natural product, but my relaxed hair is dry and thirsty and this product really makes a difference for me :) This is the second wash I've used it. I hadn't washed my hair for like 5 days, and when I took my hair down it was so soft and detangled!

M.
