Ladies. I've seen this product mentioned here before, so I tried it last night. I'm here to say it is probably the BEST treatment I've ever tried. It almost replaces all other DC products I've tried. It gives ORS Replenishing Pak a true run for the money and in my opinion wins. I'd call it a light protein with very strong moisturizing properties. It left my hair sooo soft, shiny and light with lots of LONGLASTING moisture. It's remained smooth and detangled despite my fingers running through it all day long. It seemed to make my sealing oil "take" much better; the oil reflected much more off my hair.

Now that my hair is in good condition...(no more broken areas, completely texlaxed and recently dusted) I no longer use my strong protein or my reconstructors weekly. I use them on an "as needed" basis, as rescue products. UBH Deep Conditioner will always be my rescue conditioner or when I know I will use heat. It's a judgement call...I go by how my hair feels. But the Silk Elements is a REAL keeper. And the smell! OMG. You'd like to eat it or wish you could keep it on as perfume.

I really don't see any hair type that wouldn't benefit from this treatment...and at $9.99 at Sally's I feel its a real bargain.

Hope this helps someone else.

Sorry I don't have pictures to go along with this post, but I'm saving my hair for a big reveal on Valentine's Day.

Re: Want Moisturized Hair? Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment! Unbelievable

Thanks for the review, I'm going to try it. I'm down to my last 2 bottles of ORS Replenishing (old formula) and since everyone complains that the new formula is icky, I have to find a replacement. Hopefully this works out for me.

Re: Want Moisturized Hair? Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment! Unbelievable

One more question, what shampoo(s) do you use? I'm asking so I know if our hair generally likes the same kinds of products. If so, I'm gonna pick up the Silk Elements ASAP

Re: Want Moisturized Hair? Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment! Unbelievable

I have to agree with you. It is the business. It has replaced my Pantene R&N and I thought nothing could do that..

Re: Want Moisturized Hair? Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment! Unbelievable

It's on sale this month at Sally's. Of course I bought another one. I cannot run out of this conditioner, it's that good.

Re: Want Moisturized Hair? Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment! Unbelievable

Generally I use any old clarifying or chelating shampoo. I have one expensive one (Joico chelating) and one cheapie (Suave clarifying) and I think conditioners work better when I shampoo with these, but when my hair needs nurturing I use homemade Castille/Olive Oil/Water shampoo. (Thanks Traycee). Generally I only do one lather and pretend I am only cleaning the scalp...the runoff, with enough hot water, usually cleans my hair enough. Hope that helps.

Re: Want Moisturized Hair? Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment! Unbelievable

Ok thanks I will give it a try, do you know anything about the Megasilk leave in conditioner?

Re: Want Moisturized Hair? Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment! Unbelievable

Re: Want Moisturized Hair? Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment! Unbelievable

I'm in love with MegaSilk..I hoard it when I can:look:..This works better than most of my expensive treatments. This is a staple of mine! Hair is always soft and silky after using this:yep:

I competely agree with your review. It's wonderful!!!

Re: Want Moisturized Hair? Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment! Unbelievable

It's a good DC, but I prefer the Mega Cholesterol instead.

Re: Want Moisturized Hair? Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment! Unbelievable

I've been looking for a back up to my beloved Pantene R&N Mask since it's becoming hard to find in my area. Sally's has this on sale for $7.99 this month so I purchased one. I'll use it for the first time this coming Monday and if I get good results, I'm going back to Sally's to stock up. This may become a staple for me.

Re: Want Moisturized Hair? Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment! Unbelievable

Thanks Chevelure!!! You're not helping my budget my hair should love this. Thanks, where did you buy yours?

Re: Want Moisturized Hair? Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment! Unbelievable

I'm going to use it for the first time this week.

Re: Want Moisturized Hair? Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment! Unbelievable

I finally caved and bought it this week. What a GREAT moisture treatment. I used this in the shower after applying a black rinse and it instantly softened my hair, I cannot wait until I use this with heat. Thanks for the review. Now I finally see what all the raves were about. I like the ingredients and I am definitely stocking up this month with the sales price.

Re: Want Moisturized Hair? Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment! Unbelievable

Been using this for over a year......I always grab two during the Sally's sale. Not too many conditioners can match it.

I love both the brown and green version. The brown jar smells heavenly

Re: Want Moisturized Hair? Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment! Unbelievable

Yep one of my DC staples (along with Moroccan Oil Conditioning Mask). If you really want a hairgasm moment, go ahead and mix it with coconut oil and sit under the dryer... I'm not responsible for anyone passing out after that... lol

Re: Want Moisturized Hair? Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment! Unbelievable

my sister got me hooked on this a few weeks ago, its definitely the best. the lady at sallys told my sisters that it's worth it's weight in gold and she told the sho nuff troof :yep:

Re: Want Moisturized Hair? Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment! Unbelievable

Can someone post a pic of it. I think it was on sale at Sally, but I don't know exactly what bottle it is.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Want Moisturized Hair? Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment! Unbelievable

If it didn't have protein in it I would buy it. Oh well the search continues

Re: Want Moisturized Hair? Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment! Unbelievable

I just bought two more at Sally's today for $7.99 each. The usual price is $9.99.

By the way. The silk amino acids are far down in the list, therefore it is a very light protein treatment. I believe that is why is leaves the hair so nice and moisturized. Right now it is just what my hair needs.

No more trimming for me for hopefully one full year. Then I will be at my goal of MBL.

My fear is that it will have a negative reation to Mega-Tek's high protein. I used ORS but that was too much with Mega-Tek. It sounds like a good product though.

Re: Want Moisturized Hair? Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment! Unbelievable

Can you buy this in the sample pack for $1.50 right?

Re: Want Moisturized Hair? Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment! Unbelievable
