That's the first thing the cashier at Tractor Supply said when I sat my MTG on the counter, lol. I said for a person, do you get that a lot? She said everyone she ask says it's for a person

I didn't think it smelled that bad (better than WGO, Amla oil and ACV) but I got some peppermint essential oil to mix with it. So far so good, here's to 3 inches in the last quarter of 09!

Lol! I knew when I saw the title of this thread it wz gonna be for MTG. I've never used it and can only imagine the smell based off of the many threads dedicated to the topic.

I wish you the best fortune in gaining 3 inches by Dec 31st.

I tried and MTG but that smell killed me... I only used it once and washed my hair out immediately.
If you can handle the smell I really do think the product works. A lot of the ladies here got great progress with it.

smoked, bbq, baconesque sulfury smell that can easily be covered with Peppermint oil

I let my aunt smell it and she just said, "it smells like sulpher". The cashier at the store said she thought it just smelled smokey. If you can handle Amla oil or Wild Gro you can take MTG. I HATE pre-pooing with Amla, it makes my mom gag, lol.

I plan on using it every other day until Dec 31 to see how much growth I can get. My goal is 3 inches by then, and if it works I'll keep using it the same way until I get to BSL which think will this time next year if I don't have any set backs.

I've been mixing it w/weleda rosemary oil and/or eucalyptus oil and it's really not that bad(TO ME). ITA with other posts about the similarity to glovers,sulfur 8, & things like that.

sounds good, i thought about giving it to the end of the year. i think four months is long enough to see if it increases growth and to what extent. i'm in the apl by dec 31st challenge (fingers crossed) so i can post those pics here too and inbetween how about a stretched section shot?

i had great success with mtg. i tried mega tek too but it didnt do anything for me. I used mtg straight because i didnt want to alter the way it worked. i go great growth and the smell went away when applied at night. if your not heavy handed you dont have to worry about it running either. only thing it turns ur jewlery but toothpaste can clean that and all sulfer will do that. ill see if i can find pics of my journey.

I like the Glovers (stinky liquid) even better because it doesn't break me out. Works just as well.

MTG works. Mega-Tek caused shedding. My daughter used MTG, my mom used Mega-tek.
I used both MTG and Sulu Max Gro (human version of MTG) and they both worked extremely well. I agree use at night and the smell is not bad in AM.

Hope you reach your goal, with MTG it can be done if not more.

Bottom line? I'm cheap, lol. MTG is 1/2 the price for twice as much product. I split a bottle of Mega Tek w/ my sister when I first found this site and while it definately worked and I don't think I experienced all the shedding that people talk about. It's also not easy to find in stores even deep in the heart of TX.

When I used it my hair did grow a little faster, but I just got tired of the strong odor! Now if it would've grown my hair "MUCH" faster I'd still be using it

IA w/You. I had Absolutely No Shedding at all.

MT worked Great for Me. But I think my Hair is able to tolerate quite a bit of Protein.

I also had a spot missing about the size of a 50 cent piece in February '09, by April of '09 you would have never known it was there.

So based on that, I have to give MT two Thumbs Up. I still apply to scalp only (very sparingly) at least every other day.

Is the MTG in the drug store the same as the one at the tractor supply? I found a bottle of shampoo and conditioner( i believe thats what it said)at cvs but wasn't sure if thats the same thing everyone is referring too. It did have instructions on the back for animals.

This thread is funny because when my sister was 14 and I was 13, we went to a bss and asked for something to make our hair grow. We ended up purchasing MTG, but we didn't read the label on the bottle. When we finally did...we were absolutely LIVID! We thought, "how dare he sell us horse stuff!! We weren't the prettiest girls on the block, but we sure didn't look like horses!!
When we went to return the conditioner, the guy at the bss explained things to us ...we were like, "oh...ok!"

My mom used to use Mane and Tail poo and conditioner on us as kids, but she said one of use had some breakage that she attributed to it so she stopped using it.
