I want my hair to look that good.

It can; people think I'm wearing weave all the time.

Which can be either a good or bad thing.

Keep with the good hair habits and it keep coming down.

Your hair is pretty, I love the color!

Ok could it be I have seen a lot of bad waves.
Who has a good one then?

I dont know much about it:look:

The healthy hair look 10000 bether than a weave. You just have to treat it with care

I see hair on this board that looks better than the best weaves, but my hair is fine, and i don't think it will ever look as good as a great weave.

Yup Cosigning. I am not too much for the weaves cause they all look pretty bad and fake with the exception of Beyonce and a few others who's weaves are undetectable.

I do like braids weaves though depending on the style. But I think real hair looks WAY better than weave any day.

Cosigning with the others who said that healthy hair will always look better than a weave, even a "good" weave. I have seen heads of hair on this board that cannot even be compared with weaves. Whole other level...

A good weave is possible:grin::grin:, it's all about finding a weave that is the texture and color of your hair. Also you have to make it look realistic..the cut...and blending. I've seen some very good weaves..some that I couldn't even tell were weaves. They were maily full sew-ins..where some of your real hair is exposed.

To answer your question...I think real hair can look as good or better than a weave.

I think that Mo's weave is better than Kita's.

Kita's weave is very obvious!!:ohwell::ohwell:

Sure can. But the fullness is more important really, Some people with full thick healthy shoulder length hair get weaved checked because the fullness and body is what throws some off, particularly (only) when she's black. thats why I'm working on my thickness more than anything.

Errrr, ummm...I think the one chick's weave is kinda sorry lookin' The single chick. The other one's usually looks pretty good.

But my answer is Heck-YES! As good as and often much better.
It actually irks me lately that people's natural assumption seems to be that if hair looks long and beautiful then it must be a weave.
Or if it looks moist and thick then it must be a weave.
If hair looks to perfect it must be fake.

 :ohwell: :wallbash: :perplexed

The puff in my sig is all mine but everyone swore it was a hair piece that day.
When I wear my twistouts. I've also learned that many thing it's a half wig.

These wigs and weaves are giving black hair a bad Rep. :drunk:

Completely co-signing on everything you just said. :yep:

there are plenty of people on this board who put the best weaves and lace fronts to SHAME...

lavendar, mamato, traycee, tee, goingnatural, the list goes onnnnn

I can agree with you that there are some gorgeous weaves on TV stars and in reality, but there's nothing like the real thing IMHO. After wearing several weaves in the past, I can say that I don't miss all of that pain from a tight sew in, the expensive cost of getting the weave or the itch that I could never seem to scratch that was underneath the tracks.

don't watch the T.O. Show, but have seen a few weaves. for me, it's sometimes hard to tell if it's real or not (maybe i'm not as skilled in telling the difference?):)

anywho, to answer the thread title... yes ;)

YES, it can....

My former stylist did an excellent job on her clients, everyone had healthy, flowing hair..... people would swear that I was wearing weave!!!!

OT.....Hmmmm, I might have to give up the DIY and go back to sitting in the salon for hours at a time:ohwell:....

I am not a fan of weaves. I would like to try them in a few months as a PS, but not really to "look nice." I would never pick a weave over real hair. Healthy real hair wins everytime.

P.S OP, The Photo in your Siggy looks better than those chicks' weaves :)

I was noticing that too - they have some vey natural looking weaves, but weaves none the less. I can appreciate weaves for giving your hair a rest, retention and such, but in my opinion you just dont get any extra props for it if you cant grow it yourself.

When my hair is freshly done people often ask me if my hair is a weave (this is probably because I go back and forth between a wash and go and flat iron - like my hair is incapable of getting straight and bouncy without any glue or thread) :lachen:

I would like to think my hair looks nicer than a weave. Hence why I've never felt the need to get one...

So yes, I think real hair can look as good or better than a weave.
