I've been using the Shikaki Hair Growth Elixir and the Hibiscus Hair Infusion Oil (as well as the CocoLatte moisture mask) for about a month now.

I've always had problems with my scalp. I get it from my momma. I'm prone to dandruff and greasy scalp build up if I don't clarify every 4 days. As you can imagine, clarifying that often stripped my hair (and scalp) of so much moisture. My scalp just wasn't a good environment for growing hair.

But now, after using the Shikaki and the Hibiscus oils, I've noticed a TREMENDOUS difference. (Let me also point out, I've been taking a biotin/MSM hair skin and nail supplement every day for about 3 months.) My scalp is so much healthier. I don't have to clarify as often, just once every 2 weeks, so the actual hairs on my head are retaining so much moisture. My scalp is clean, and it feels like it can breathe. I've noticed a marked growth increase too, and that's always a good thing.

The Shikaki Hair Growth Elixir is aimed at scalp stimulation and health. The Hibiscus Hair Infusion Oil is also aimed at scalp health, and it has MSM in it. So I'm getting MSM internally and externally. (The Hibiscus oil is also repairing my edges from years of micro-braid damage! Hurray!! )

Ladies, IMHO, you should try both these products if you have scalp issues. They've worked wonders to keep my scalp healthy, properly moisturized, non-greasy, and non-itchy. With these products (and my supplements), I'm hoping that I can get a massive mane by my wedding! :yep: :happydance:

Good to know!:yep:

I am waiting on my Curly Custard and my PUR whipped jelly now~ I can't wait to get it rocking with some twists...

When she has her next sale I am getting every styler and every moisturizer except for the curly custard because I already have that.

Her prices are right and her products are awesome.

I just didn't like the Nu Milk conditioner, it smelled weird and it had not slip. So I think I will pass on all her conditioners except for the Ashlii Deep conditioner which is awesome.

Her prices are fantastic! She's got a 5% off coupon you can apply right now. I just ordered some more oils, and the Shea-Alma butter.

What difference did you notice in your hair with the Ashlii Deep Conditioner? I've been thinking about trying it.

After an intense 13 hour (overnight) henna treatment without any oils or moisturizers added I DCed with it under my steamer for 45 minutes after I rinsed my henna out. My hair felt like silk after rinsing it out. I only used two tablespoons of it.

Its worth it.

I am waiting for a Labor day/Fall sale or my birthday (late Septmember) whichever comes first.

ETA: Hey your in DC, awesome!

i really like her products too. i was gonna make another purchase this week but since im doing a second big chop tomorrow theres no need.

i love the ashlii deep conditioner. everytime i've used it its been overnight and woke up to soft moisturized hair. i also love the pure whipped gelly, curly custard and cocolatte mask.

I have shikakai powder at home but wouldn't mind trying it in a liquid form. I'm sure its less messy anyway! LOL

BTW HipHopPoetics, do you use ayurvedic powders? If you don't you should really look into them as well. My son had scalp issues as well and I started using the Hairveda Amla shampoo and his dandruff cleared up almost immediately. I will definitely try the Afroveda one you mentioned. My problem is that although I don't mind using these powders on my hair my kids run from me if I try to put it on them.
