put. the. scissors. down. ok, now. listen. calm, now. calmly, slowly, back. away. from the scissors.

J/P looks cute. love the layers.

LOL it took me 3 days to get the bangs and layers just right, so for ME it was difficult, but hey

I was determined not to pay someone else lol!!! I'm finally done with the scissors hehe

ETA: I just took half inch sections at a time and snipped with the scissors facing the ceiling so that the hair would sound like it was getting razor-shaved or w/e...hard for me to explain. While holding the tiny section, I would just snip about a centimeter or two off at a time (vertical).

ummm maybe I should've recorded this, but I made a huge mess. There was hair everywhere.

You did a good job, from some of the other responses i see you like to cut your hair. Leave that pretty hair alone.

yeah 'cause I get bored :(

I can't color it anymore bc it almost fell out with those blonde highlights...the black has made it even dryer obviously...so now my options for changing my style are cutting lol.

You can always transition back to your natural color and just cut a little every few months. And keep up your moisture.

black's my natural color, and I missed it sooooo much. That's the prob, though. I get color happy, too. If it weren't for the breakage I got last time, I would color it honey brown right now LOL.

I've been doing coconut milk, avocado, beer, honey, and mayo masks/rinses lately. It seems to be helping. I need to get rid of this dandruff, though, and the lady who owns Brendita's Body Works said not to use what I wanted to for it:

baking soda, vinegar, mouthwash, I THINK that's all I was planning to try.

I never heard of using mouthwash before. What kind of shampoo are you using right now? You can try a shampoo with tee tree oil, the only 2 i know off the top of my head are jasons and giovanni, you should be able to find these at walgreens. Tee tree helps with dandruff and the itchies.

It's an upside down U. It's not uneven. Did you read the pics from Glamour's mag? lol

anyway, I use Silicon Mix Pearl Extract shampoo, but I wish I'd known it had SLS in it prior to buying it.

I didn't know that's how it was supposed to look. Sorry then. When I think bangs I think straight across,

The sls might be the culprit drying out your scalp. Try something that does not contain sls that's more gentle and see if it makes it better. Hth

In the words of Lucie "No Thanks"
and in the words of Thumper "If you can't say something nice, don't say nothin' at all."

BTW: I think they look cute :yep:

It's a forum. That means people are ALLOWED to give their (hopefully respective) and objective opinions about something. If you post a picture, you shouldn't expect to only get "Ooh, I like that girl." or "Oh, that's perfect." Not everyone is going to have the same opinion.

She stated she liked it and thought it was a little uneven but found it cute.
I personally don't like it at all (I would have if say the lowercase n shape was a little more smoother) but if OP does, that's awesome.

I have horrible dandruff, ezema to be exact. I have been using rite aid's knock off of neutrogena t gel shampoo. I rinse my hair, add it, lather, scrub, let sit 5 minutes, scrub, rinse. Then I do a quick wash with my regular shampoo and my scalp is so clear and problem free. Its a blessing because before...the situation was not. cute.

Does it smell weird? lol

my gma said I look like her mom my great grandmother...I wasn't expecting that at all. makes me love the style even more lol

You and your hair are pretty. The dark hair is striking against your fair skin. The bangs give you an edgy look. You look great. You are brave too, I'd be too scared to cut regular bangs, not to mention "mod" bangs!

Yeah, I was scared while I was doing it but when I saw the mod bangs in a e-newsletter from Glamour, to which I'm subscribed by mail as well, I JUST KNEW I WANTED THESE BANGS LOL

but it wasn't until recently that I decided to attempt the look myself. I haven't let anyone cut my hair for a long time, and I don't want to start now.

THANK YOU FOR THE FEEDBACK. I don't want to go out in public thinking to myself "well LHCF thinks I look crazy, and so will everyone else" lol

Its very different. It fits you and your personality very well. Its all in your confidence girl sport that cut!!!
