Or at least until I relax again :yep: Only taking them down every two weeks to shampoo & condition allows me to comb less  Say it with girls......LESS MANIPULATION, LESS MANIPULATION

Sounds like a plan. Are you going to be using fake hair? If so you could leave them in for longer and just wash/condition with them in.

That's what I plan to do for the rest of my transition... I braided my hair, without extensions, 2.5 weeks ago (pic on the right in my siggy) and kept them in for 2 weeks. I was able to cowash at least 2ce per week and I also DC'd.

I'll braid for 2 weeks, leave out for 1-2 weeks, then braid back up :yep:

I put in twist extensions about a month ago. I'm missing my naps though... :nono: Might switch to no extensions after this so I don't have to wait as long to play in my hair but it takes so long to twist it seems a waste to only get 1-2 weeks out of it (my hair is soft and with mat in a minute if I try to leave it longer)

Yes, Synthetic hair. Not very small braids, larger say 14 or so cornrolls or french braids :yep:

Cosigning. I am in kinky twists and will be for the summer. With maintenance, maybe until the Fall.
Me too :yep: Maybe I will bun for a week after I relax, then it's back to braids. I took mine out in April and that's long enough, tired of dealing with it everyday, no more :nono: The less you do to it...the more your hair will benefit :yep:

This is what I'm doing right now.

Except with half wigs. I think I'll be hiding my hair until this time next year.

Yes, I'll be doing this too. I'm trying to learn how to do the style in my avatar pic. I can't wait until I get it right. I think it's a great protective style.

I am doin this also. I have kinky twist in and ill be doing it for the rest of the year. Less mani means more retention :yep:

I'm going to be doing something like this too. I have my kinky twists in now, then I will take them out for a few weeks then put them right back in. This is so easy to do.

I'm sick of dealing with my hair too. I'm going to be wearing my own hair in double strand twists, keeping them it about two weeks, letting my hair breathe for a week or two, then right back in twists.

I'll be bunning and baggying the twists too.

I will be joining you soon. I plan on getting them in early October and will keep them in through October and November. And then it will be time for my length check and hopefully a decision on whether or not to perm or loc... :look:

I've been braided the whole summer its great. I'm gonna take these tree braids out and get some more cornrows. It makes it really easy to apply my growth aides and massage. I haven't had a perm since April 7th. I will get later this month early Sept. I'm 17 weeks post.

I feel the same way! I'm getting some braids put in Sunday and I plan on staying braided up for two years.

I know that right girls......it's a sure way of not damaging your hair daily!!! A few weeks of No combing!! I need that right now. Plus i'm just tired of dealing with it from day to day. Definitely gonna keep them moisturized, oiled and/or hydrated as much as possible.
