If so, how are you using it?

I am going through my PJ stash and trying to figure out what to do with this (or even what I bought it for). :perplexed

Can I use it for my two strand twists or like a gel to lay my hair down or as a leave in/curl definer? Not sure...

Anyone?

I've never used it, but it's supposed to be a gel right? I've seen people (here, np, and other places) use it as a leave in for wash and go's since apparently it smells yummy. And they've used it on top of their moisturizer for twists/twist outs. Also, to help lay down their edges with a bit of castor oil.

The one I have is like a thick cream, but I guess you can use like a gel bc it's thick? I think I will try it like a gel to slick my edges down next time I bun and if that doesn't work, maybe over my conditioner when i do twists...Thx!

Bumping....

I used it to attempt to lay down my edges. It smells good, but that's about where the pros end :perplexed It made my hair look really dull. Used it on my kids with the same results

i dont remember being fond of this product but then again i was using it when i had only an inch of hair lol. it like a cream light hold gel. i think it would work fine on two strand twists ans if you have longer hair it might do good on wash and gos. esp. over top of the honey hemp conditioner.

Did you have to use a lot? It is a thick cream, but I thought it was supposed to add shine.:ohwell: I can't remember why I bought the product but I think it only cost $6, so if it's a no-go for me, I won't feel too bad...Thx!

I don't have honey hemp (another Oyin prod?), but I do use Nature's Gate Aloe Vera Moisturizing Conditioner with great success, so I think I will try it over that on my next set of twists...Think that'll work? Thx...:yep:

bumping...anyone else?

When I was natural I used it along with her Whipped shea butter for 2 strand twists. Together the products kept my twists really soft and hanging nicely, instead of shriveling up like they usually do

Thanks, ladies. I am getting mixed results. Shine vs dull and some hold vs light hold. I don't hink I will try it for a wet puff, but maybe i will try it over some whipped shea for two strand twists as well as over the conditioner for 2 strand twists to see how it works for me...

Thanks again for responses-

i think im going to go to the store to get me some more of the honey hemp conditioner. maybe i will pick up a small jar to remind myself of this product.

I use it sometimes to do twist-n-curls. You only need a dab for each section. I love the smell. I don't know what it does as for shine, but the hold is not that great IMO. But it does smell good :yep:

I'm sticking with the juices, they are nicely scented, help moisturize and good for easy after poo comb outs. I have the shine/define, pudding and the burnt sugar..not going to buy these again but the juices will be a staple.

I'm not really feeling the Shine and Define either...:nono:

I just ordered some with the honey hemp conditioner. Please let me know how you like it! I will also share, what happens with me as well.

I like how it smelled, but not really good hold (AND I was relaxed at the time). I think I chucked it! I wish I still had it, now that I'm nat'chal.
